Tow hook? The tow guys don't mind they'll snip the zip ties before they tow you.. providing your not using a strap..

I like this solution! The rear grill above the exhaust tips. Hope it doesn't get too hot there... I plan on keeping my tow strap in the front.

Where does one register? I'd like to drop by the Laguna Seca event in June. Will likely be there the weekend before for SpeedSF with their challenge as well.

Also, redpriest where/how did you get the cage in your car that enables putting wheels in rear seat area? Not sure if it was your E46 or E92, but Brandon at P-Tech was telling me about it.. pretty sweet thought for the future.
It's the AE bar. Mounts to C pillar in the rear.

Note that some b2 Laguna times are b3 now due to the new rules. Lol

It does. Thank you.

I wish there was more opportunity to do open track days. I am doing a 4 hours open track event on June 11 and to me it is a very exiting day. Since I am not willing to do W2W racing, The TT or TA can be a way to compete with reduced risk. So I am watching with interest the posts on the subject.
HPDE run whatever you want
TT spend shit loads of more money to try to win.

It happens too, lol, but I just chock it up to one of those things.
C'mon---the traffic excuse is your favorite?.....You could have much better excuses than that! Here, let me come up with a few custom excuses just for you!:

-"My girlfriend rides in my car during every session. Imagine how much faster I could go without her weight and the weight of the extra seat. What? No, honey, I didn't mean you were heavy! OWW! Stop hitting me with the torque wrench!! OWW! Really, I was just OWWWW!!"
-"Yeah....my lap times aren't where I want because my competitor is driving my car today too, so the engine is already hot and the tires are greasy when I get in it.....plus, he sprung for shitty tires that aren't fresh any more.....hey, why are you taking your wheels off my car?!"
-"I have an E46 M3, an E92 M3 and an F80 M3.....to be honest, it's hard to build any consistency because I own so many cars and they're all so different. If I just stuck to one platform, I know I'd be faster. Why are you giving me that look? Hey, where are you guys going? Anyone wanna have lunch?......"
-"After my E46 got damaged in Vegas, the steering isn't quite right and something is shaking. I told the crappy-ass shop I'm going to make them really check their crappy-ass work....but....for some reason they won't take my calls now....."
-"I attend all the Bimmer Challenge events. With the new format being best 9 of 10, all I really need to do is show up. I don't need to win any days. Everyone else is f**king lazy and doesn't show up....it's pretty much an automatic win for me this year.....hey, anyone want to go to Willow Ranch BBQ tonight?? What? No one's hungry?....Seriously? No one is eating dinner?....."
-"I live in NorCal. It's exhausting driving down to SoCal for so many events. If I didn't have to travel so far, I'd be much fresher. Do you even know how many ridiculous excuses I've had to come up with so I don't have to go into work on Fridays? All you SoCal guys have it so easy."

hmmm on second thought, maybe these excuses aren't very good....
That's pretty LOLS

It can melt. I used a melted one last time but hey it still worked!

Are you really that desperate for airflow to the radiators that a tiny transponder is going to put you at risk for overheating?

Probably not. The oil temps were a bit high at 255-260 last time in 40-55 degree ambient temps last time so the thought bothers me more than reality. Had the AC on heat too. Don't know how oil temps will be in summer.

Why block off about ten square inches of prime airflow if you don't have to?

Brey Krause direct to floor mount and sparco circuit 2's are in, still need to play with seating position but I have the height set to max and i'm 5'10 and visibility is limited!

Is it safe to run a spacer between the bracket and the car? If so what material and what would the max size spacer you would run?

Any wheel to wheel school recommendations? I'm open to location - would likely have to fly to any of them. Would prefer one with non-third pedal cars though... right knee is trashed and doesn't hold up well to heel/toe for more than a session or so. Thanks!

My friends loved SCCA 3-day in Miatas. Had a race on final day with a lot of spec Miata action- as they are known for. Like bump drafting. Impacts. Spins.

What about BMWCCA racing school in your own car?

I used to run it center of the bottom radiator grill. When Brian and I were driving the same car for Bimmer Challenge he mounted his on the driver side portion of the grill, his times were .001 seconds faster as read by the transponder. Clearly, the driver side is faster.
