New Continentals are holding up well for me. and come in 285/30-19.
But I have dedicated track wheels/tires for that kind of work.

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

I don’t want rubbing. I’d like to go with the 265 30 on the front. I think I need to go with a 285 30 on the rear.

There are cup 2 tires at 285 30 but they are runflats .

There’s really no tire I like in 285...
Yep, I ran into the run flat issue too. The 285's are the stock size for the C7 Z06, lol. I'm not seeing much rub on the back and my suspension is SOFT. I'm sure once I tighten it up, there should be no rub. Also the 295/30/19 for either Cup 2's or Trofeo R's are both optimal for a 10.5" width rim (the size of the FI rears!).

I may have to recant what I said about the 285 size. Various sites show both the pilot sport and cup 2 in the 285 r 19 size.

Apparently 285 30 19 is a standard Mercedes fitment on the pss. Tirerack does list that tire as in stock.

I’m running the Dinan coilover kit. The car is lowered from stock. The difference between 285 and 295 is about 2mm.

I don’t use the car much but I’d hate for it to rub.

I've got Ohlins R&T on the softest settings without any noticeable rub with the 295's.

I run 275/30/19 and 295/30/19 on FI with no noticeable rubbing. The 275/30/19 has less choices but protect the rims better.

For 275 I tested with and without Turner's 3mm spacers and either worked.

The 275 is Formula One tolerances next to the coil over JRZ without the 3mm but still no rubbing.

About 10 trackdays with the 275. Last year about 20 trackdays with 265.

Thank you that is really good information to have. I might switch to 275s when this set wears out.

Avoid the Corvette run-flat Cup 2s. The tread depth is extremely shallow and they basically turn into slicks after a thousand miles. I had them on my car.

DEFINITELY this. The other issue is there is no M3 front tire size for the Cup 2 RF's (there are only 285's and 335's available in that tire). Some tire sites don't distinguish between the regular Cup 2's and the Cup 2 RF's but there is a major difference. Side by side the RF's look shaved or completely worn out even when brand new.

Those who were front, shall be rear, and those rear, front...

Sorry to revive an old thread, but I promise its worth it; read on.

My e93 M3 is on 19" BBS FI, like all else on this post.

While my wife's car was in for service, my SA was checking out my car.
He looks at my rear tires, and says, "you need new tires."
I thank him, file it for later reference and think nothing of it.

I stumbled upon the post while researching tire widths.
I'm considering 265 35 19 front and 285 35 19 rears.

The last set of tires I had on was at a local tire shop... (wait for it)

who mounted my rears as fronts and my fronts as rears.

I'm embarrassed to say I just noticed it, and its been 2 years.
(I do wear glasses, but they're not that strong...)

The upside of this is, I can confirm, you can mount a 19 x 10.5" BBS FI rim with 275 35 on the front, and it will rub only near lock. I threw my borescope between the rim and suspension and you can fit about 3 business cards between the strut and the wheel.

The rear, obviously, clears nicely.
