Apex Arc 8 and TPMS Fitment Issues
Took my car into tire shop to install my tpms sensors today. The sensors weren't holding air..
Any idea of what could be causing this, I thought apex wheels were bmw tpms friendly? |

No problem with my stock TPMS on my Apex ARC8 18 x 9.5/10.5 in 2.5 years and 2 sets of tires. Maybe the shop did not install them correctly.

^This. I used to have TPMS mounted on my ARC-8 and tracked'em, and no problem.

We're sorry to hear you've encountered an issue. The APEX wheels are designed to work perfectly with new TPMS sensors.
You didn't specify if they were new stems. My guess is the sensors were moved over from another set of wheels and the valve stems reused. The rubber on the stems are one time use, and are prone to leaking when reused. A TPMS rebuild kit should be used if the above is the case. We can assist with rebuild kits. If they were new sensors, then most likely they were not installed properly. I look forward to hearing that everything worked out. -Eddy P

Yep. The stems are separate from the TPMS and the stems wear out. The stems are a cheap part. I order a bunch and give the shop 4 new ones when I'm having tires mounted. I also keep a couple in the glove box in case I wind up needing a patch & remount on a trip out of town.
