BUT, CONGRATS!
I really liked it, and I really wanted the lightest best performing M3 I could get. I figured there was no reason to pay for stuff I didn't need, and I kind of liked the idea of ordering the Speed Cloth since there are so few of them out there. I know lots of people hate on having Speed Cloth and no Tech Package, but I sold my 350Z without leather seats or navigation and my E46 M3 didn't have the Nav, and I sold that no problem.

The single hump question was answered in that I don't have the Tech package. My plans for the E92 are about the same as the E46. I just plan on doing it over 4 years instead of in about 1.5 years. The wheels have been ordered, and then I will start with the performance mods dynoing the car after each mod.

If you ever get rid of your E92, I'm sure it would sell pretty quick. It will be the perfect track car.

I'm going to use you as a performance guinea pig.

+1 on the speed cloth - I was close to ordering my sedan the same way - I ordered my 2002 M3 with cloth on purpose as it is cooler in the summer here in the swampy south. If they had it in a color lighter than black, I would have ordered it again, but instead went with the silver interior as the black was hard for me to keep clean...

Did you not notice that the seat is about 60% leather and 40% cloth. Can you explain why spending $60k on a car means you have to have leather? Why do you like leather so much? Is it that it gets colder in the winter and hotter in the summer? Or do you just feel you need to keep up with the Jones and their leather seats? I ALWAYS take the cloth option if it is available.

good luck with that. Once the mod bug bites you, you have to scratch it...

You car looks great man. from the pics i like LB better than IB. It seems lighter, and doesnt have that purplish hue..

Speed Cloth

My 08 is pretty bare to (one hump=less weight). Speed cloth grips you're butt better in the corners! No sliding around on slippery leather!

Haha, sorry but I dont buy a car for status, I buy one for build quality (fit and finish), luxury, and performance. I still believe that the M3 is a luxury car as much as its a pure sports car. Speed Cloth is very nice, and everyone has their own preferences, but i'll stick to my comfortable leather sport seats. I have heated seats for the winter, and beige leather so heat in the summer is not such a problem.

I like leather because it's easier to clean, and my clothes slide (and wrinkle less) with leather. Also I think it looks nicer. I think for a track car, having alcantara or cloth is better because it holds you in place a bit more...

to each his own. I am SUPER jealous of your exterior btw...
