So the video indicates the 3rd E63 M6 is a CSL?? any more pics or info?

Also, I want to see the E34 High roof thing from the front.

.. and why is there a standard looking E53 X5 down there... methinks maybe they toyed with an X5M before?

very sick. Thanks to M for sharing. I would love to personally tour this garage, but I imagine it is only for the privileged. Many of these cars would be right at home in the BMW museum Munich.

great video. Tastefully done editing, speed-up and slow-downs and choice of music.

The M8!!!!!

The 8 series is the car I have to thank for starting my passion for BMWs (many bimmers have maintained that enthusiasm). I can still remember the first time I saw one at the BMW dealership with my dad(the parts-department was a customer of his). I was only about 8 or so, and I vowed I would someday own one. While I have indeed owned many 3s and 5s, I have yet to make good on those words...

What I would do to own that version specifically...is legal absolutely EVERYWHERE!!

Just to step foot in this garage would be an honor and a dream come true.

I agree that car was so far ahead of it's time. It can still hang with the best of them today.

And I am still missing one car. Made for Paul Rosche. But you might see it here in the pic of the 8th post. They made one E38 with an E39 drivetrain.

Pictures and videos are amazing, and I love all this, but I want more information on some of these lesser known cars..

some snippets came up in Autocar

It is now part of BMW M's classic collection, shown in full to journalists today for the first time.
Features included active aerodynamics (focused on the floor), a 100kg weight saving programme, an upgraded power output and a new aero package.
Another car revealed for the first time today is a rear-wheel drive M version of the first-gen X5. This car was never made as BMW decided its X-badged cars had to be all-wheel-drive, something that's no longer the case as its sells rear-drive versions of the X1.
It was powered by a V8 engine mated to an smg gearbox and was "well received" in customer clinics, BMW claims, but was ultimately rejected.
