Cheap/good hid options?

So a headlight bulb went out on my 09. Need to buy some replacements. Wanted to go somewhere between white and blue maybe 6500. Does anyone have good experiences with ebay or amazon stuff? Thanks.

Light output is pretty crap on the cheap stuff, search for review and compare if you must.

Better off going for known good quality blubs like the ones linked above or Osram CBI, Nighthawk, etc.

Avoid anything other than 4100k-4300k (color looks fake and attracts cops' attention, plus light output drops), and buy in pairs so the color and light output match.

Sylvania and Philips are OEM and will give the best performance. Just make sure they're not knockoffs.

Cheap and good rarely go together.

I agree with the 2 posts above - stick to 4100-4300K (Osram, Phillips, etc.)...6500K will reduce light output for one, and scream aftermarket bulbs.

HID capsules are complicated. The cheap ones are known to fail early or have terrible light output.

You can get OEM ones for <$100 these days, and they last for a really long time. Headlights are a safety item.

I have a pretty much brand new authentic oem phillips bulb for sale, PM if you're interested. I say pretty much brand new because I tested it to see if it was my bulb or ballast that was fried from my headlights. Turned out it was my ballasts. New bulb was placed back in original packaging and stored away.
