Not Mine: 2013 Frozen Blue 15k Miles Local Dealer

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None

Item Interest
So was at my local dealer today, picking up some parts for my new whip, and I spotted this on the floor! I was like WTF!! It is not listed on their web site yet, and I was told they will be listing it on BaT next week. I figured I would put this out there for the community as this price seems rather low to me considering the current market. I was told I could buy it right now for $52,999 since it has not been placed on BaT at this point. That seems about $10-15k too low based on other cars out there with only 15k miles. Car is legit near-perfect, still has new car smell, LOL! A few rock chips on the front but no other issues I could see with a walk around. The VIN and the Stock number are in the photos. Anyway, if any one wants to follow up on this it is at Century BMW in Huntsville AL.

Big P in the gauge cluster picture is a dead giveaway.

I never understood why would anyone drill a bumper to put the damn license plate bracket... especially on a frozen color.

Either way, nice car for sure.

Many frozen cars were dealer promo cars. Dealerships in states that require front license plates install the bracket on these cars. Mine has it too.

Agreed. Deal breaker.

My state (WA) requires a front plate, but my dealership doesn't drill holes in the front bumper unless the customer requests it.

I would personally refuse to take delivery of a car with the front bumper drilled, I could give a shit less what the law says. Just my own .02.

The post you're replying to specifically mentioned Promo cars. These aren't ordered by a customer. They're special dealer cars and they get driven by & promoted by the dealership and then sold at a later time. The dealership is not going to allow their manager/employees drive a car without a front license plate In a state that requires it, and this is how, sadly they end up with a front bracket installed.

We are all enthusiasts here and we all understand the whole front license plate issue and I wouldn't take delivery either if I ordered a car and the dealer drilled holes in the front bumper.

But this was most likely a dealer promo/demo car as many frozen additions were in 2013.

But, you can order a painted euro bumper from IND for around $1300 that paint matches perfectly so it shouldn't be a deal breaker for someone on a used car like this.

I think the red is crazy hot, would love that! And the contrast stitching is badass. Other than that I am not really thrilled with the other colors either. The idea is cool, it was novel at the time, but in person, even with this near perfect condition one, I was just Meh. I think from an investment stand point, the super low production would make these more valuable long term, but I want to DRIVE my cars, lol!

Definitely under priced, EAG would be asking 80-90k for this.

So I was in there yesterday, they confirmed it sold to someone in Miami for the $52999 price. Wish I had had the cash as I would bet I could have made 10k off the flip....

Was at a local Dodge dealer fixing my Grand Cherokee SRT when the GenV Viper just came out, around 2013 or early 2014.

A dealer employee drilled the front bumper on a newly arrived customer car because he thought he was doing extra work...customer refused to take delivery of the car even when the dealer offered $2 or 3K discount for it. (The drilled GenV got the factory painted stripes which cost like $5K, all smoothed out and I can imagine how it will be impossible to match with a new bumper)

When I went back a few weeks later to fix the Grand Cherokee again, the sales manager told me they took a huge hit and sold the car to a foreign buyer and the drilling guy got fired...and they put up a sign saying don't drill any Viper or SRT vehicles

So it is, and now I am pissed since I could have gotten it myself and flipped it, though I will be shocked if he gets anywhere near that much. Oh well...

Wow, this must be one of the greatest flips if it sells for that price.

Things don't add up with the value of these cars now....just because a couple rich brats overspent now people think these are actually worth almost 100k? No reasonable person would pay over 55k for this especially if the dreaded rod bearing was actually an issue.

Only EAG has been able to leverage low production number cars ie LRP or Frozen paint for top dollar with the super high prices for sub 5k mile cars. Agree private party will not be able to get $90k on a DCT, front license plate 15k mile car. This car on BAT probably mid 60s. EAG probably could pull a 7 handle. Of course it only takes one buyer with money to burn.
