E90 M3 carbon fibre roof panel with sunroof?

I have been doing some research recently and have found myself looking into cf roof panels. I have seen some older posts about this but nothing recent. Does anyone offer CF roof panels for sunroof equipped cars?

Nope. Not much to be gained (saved). The weight is in the glass and mechanism. Making the surrounding parts CF wouldn't achieve much.

There's a reason why no aftermarket company offers it.

He is probably just going for the look... is my guess. If so, wrap it and call it a night.

How much headroom do you save with a slicktop? I'm 6'5" and thinking I should go the #slicktoplife.

About an inch or so, but strongly recommended if you're tall. My head constantly rubbed the headliner of my sunroof E90 335i. Not a problem with the carbon roof at 6'3", nor my Dad at 6'5". I barely fit in a Cayman, for reference (my Dad doesn't). My head is brushing the roof in those with the regular seats.

Life is about compromise and pros and cons.

On the flip side, I'm betting you play a mean game of basketball!

I am 6'3 and fit nicely in the car. Head room is not a problem... know what I mean.

Aside from the sunroof cutout, is there a difference in the headliner height?
Interesting how some of you are saying that there's better clearance without the sunroof headliner. I would've thought there'd be no difference in clearance depending on the headliner.

The sunroof cassette is quite thick and definitely reduces head clearance a good amount. I would say the difference is at least an inch but likely more. The 60 or so pounds taken off the top of the car is the real difference, however. Personally I never used a sunroof anyway....

I have a Vorsteiner carbon fibre roof on my E90 with a sunroof cutout. Previous owner did it so unfortunately I don't have any information on where to source it, other than it exists and Vorsteiner made it at one point.
