Jamie250 from the M3cutters UK forum pointed me to these off-the-shelf washers from McGill Motorsport that also work for this conversion. Apparently they have done the spherical conversion using this washer with no problems. Best part is that they are cheap too!

Comparing to custom tapered washers:

This is good to know! The conical seat will have a different angle for sure and you have a few mm of extra thickness that will offset the control arm a bit, but, certainly looks good enough...

The UK guys are doing it without any offset and they say it works fine.

If you offset the spherical for the additional thickness of 1.15mm then it nets out to 0, true.

Are you doing or do you have any more of these bbnks2? I'd prefer these to the McGill option.

I had like another 10 people or so I think but really need more to make it work it. shipping prices have gone up and I am sure machine work has as well. Should've just ordered like 1000 of these things when I made them but I didn't want to end up with $1000 of washers sitting in my garage for years lol Machine costs really drop as you add quantity because "set up" time is a big upfront cost.

I would just buy the washers people found. You can get them on ebay from the same seller as the website.
