It’s a test, who do you love more? Since it’s not your daily, can you put a barrier (sheet of plywood) where the car is parked? Maybe build a crate for the front? Can’t chew what he can’t get to. Once you have more time, train him that’s daddy’s toy, not Louie’s.

Yeah, ill definitely be building some type of barrier. I've also noticed if I just pull the M3 in front first, with the front bumper up close the wall, he dosent mess with it. And definitely have been working with him more on training

Side gills have been black, blue and over the last years white. Stripped the tape, back to original chrome, cause classic.
Uncertain if some performance is lost, will report back.

Oh wow! Love dogs but they need to know who is their master, and learn how to behave.

Yeah, he's actually very well behaved in all other aspects. I think it's just when I leave the house the he gets anxious and bored and starts chewing on things.

20HP for the front grills, I say 5 for the side markers.

Stock is where it's at. I went to a major car show in Amsterdam recently and the best cars in my mind were the 100% stock ones.

Used sylvania’s headlight restore kit. Hardest part was applying the clear coat. This is my second attempt, still not perfect but much better then before.

The little mods I had over the years made the car look special, going back to complete original after 10y makes it look special all over again.... And again these car are becoming a bit of a classics.

Amsterdam for a car show seem long way from Canada, wow!

Replaced the battery...again. Changed two years ago, went cheap with 80Ah acid lead. Wanted Lithium but Antigravity local reseller wanted 18.900kr (1760USD today) which passed the limit even for my M3. So here we are with another 26Kg AGM.

Happily noticed a clean and dry battery box. While the drain hose was smashed. Ah well, shouldn't be needed with the AGM.

I happened to be in The Netherlands at the time (on vacation) and I always check for auto events before hand and try to take them in.

I have to renew my registration in 2 weeks
I was going to get my smog check done this week and BAM
check engine light yesterday

coolant thermostat
UGHHHHHHHHH

more than anything, it's the dreaded thought of having to go through the drive cycle after it's corrected and the OBD is reset
it's truly hell trying to get through the drive cycle on public roads

what are some things that should be addressed while accessing the thermostat?

at 112k miles and 16 years, should the entire cooling system be refreshed?

Water pumps are cheap enough to do with the thermostat but this model’s pump does not suffer the failures of earlier models. Also main radiator hoses. I did my radiator at a 100k refresh and took the opportunity to get a CSF performance unit. The installation was very easy. You have to have the plenum off, also consider spark plugs and the Bosch gas tank vent valve. Take a close look at your valve cover gaskets while you’re in there. If they need to be done, do VANOS covers and oil separators when those are off.

It's -3°C in Calgary this morning. I don't dare put my summer rubber/rims on yet.
