I took a flyer on a bmw cca member’s classified ad and sent him $20. He sent me the 2007 Road & Track issue debuting the e9x m3. This is probably posted somewhere in the deep annals of this storied forum but thought I’d drop it here for the newbie’s who frequent this thread.

Wrap is complete. This is the closest wrap color I could find to Santorini Blue. It's is Avery Dennison Gloss Blue.

Looks great! I also have a Avery wrap on mine. I applied the gTechniq halo coating on it and it’s helped in making it super easy to clean.

Thanks, been looking for some hydrophobic coating. I'll take a look at that one. Is 30ml enough for our cars?

Just don’t autocross it! I have come marks on my Avery wrap that won’t come off. No worries though it’s just orange PPF at this point.

Spent the day at a coached HPDE at Portland International Raceway. My group had 8 cars, 6 were blue and 3 were specifically blue bmw’s, which was kinda weird. I never got the surface temps of the Nitto nt01s above 160 degrees F so was held back by tire slippage in the corners ironically. On the bright side, It created the most vivid and convincing demonstration that tire slippage at 6-8k rpm in 3rd gear and (jeez louise) continuing on into 4th gear triggers traction control to cut throttle as the cause of the kit seemingly dying out above 7k rpm rather than the kit falling behind on air delivery. With those tires (275 square), traction control set to MDM euro, and shooting down the straight aways, it pulls and pulls past 8000. So I’m left with an improved view of the kit after almost 40k miles. I will clearly have some different tire decisions to make for improved road use in the near future.

The Harrop e90 was second fastest in the group behind a 2021 911 Turbo S, otherwise besting a b58 3 series, a Supra, an 850i, some blue Audi with quad exhaust, and a z4 M coupe though we were pretty well matched all in all.

Coolant reservoir bleed screw bit the dust. So I changed in a new expansion tank in less than 5 minutes and no spills!🤘🏼 made sure no leeks by using the car for work (143 miles) and replaced the coolant once I saw no leakage elsewhere.

No, I did the job on two other cars that belonged to my friends. They just never went bad on my car until now.

Peugeot 3008 wheels

Installed Peugeot 17" steel wheels with custom adapters. Not too impressive look, next summer wanna try widened bmw wheels. Can't find any local shop for this weld, one reputable shop in Poland, have to send my wheels to them.

7.0*17 5x108 et42 front + 32mm adapter
7.5*17 4x108 et29 rear + 22mm adapter

Next goal to improve exhaust sound, I have some H-pipes but gonna order Ti/hybrid double H pipe and paired w/MPE will be triple H setup.

Thanks for sharing. Interesting that they announced the car with wheels that weren't actually for sale. They are like the E46 Comp wheels, but on the E92. You can tell they are close, but not the actual Comp wheels we got.

If you told me you were going to fit 17" Peugeot wheel I would have thought you were mad and that I would hate it. But actually, it's not bad.

18x11 rears.
You'll need to source the lip/barrels - took 7 months for them to come in

Made a new friend last weekend.
She is the last BMW 507 to leave the factory and the only 507 registered as a 1960 model year.
