I think they rebranded, likely due to the IP infringement of their original name. |

Didn’t really want to drive it in the rain but I had to do a shakedown test of the transmission mod. But good ol Washington state in the spring …
300 mile test run to Pullman for work and so far so good. Mid way across Snoqualmie hear the BMW death “bling” sound and my heart froze. Turns out it was 37f out and she was warning me of winter conditions. I need to code that goddamn chime off or something. I hear that in my nightmares |

Did some "get ready for spring" stuff before I can actually turn the outside hoses back on for good.
Dropped off two of my ZCP wheels to get some curb rash removed and refinished Hand polished the wood dash trim to remove scratches Vacuumed the interior and shampooed my floor mats Did some leather dye touch up on my driver seat and conditioned the leather Can't wait to give her a good spring bath!

PACarGuy what dye did you use? My bolsters could use a touch up.

Surprisingly good match to the factory leather. I had also tried this stuff https://bespokeleathering.com/produc...ed-repair-dye/ but found it to be a bit too glossy, and not matte enough.

Made it back from Pullman and lucked out, the March flies aren’t out in full force yet. Some kids in Othello in a white F80 gave me nice compliments on the car and I got a few thumbs up over the course of my 300 mile return trip. Best of all after a year of marking her territory with pentosin, old girl is bone dry at the transmission pan!
One thing I noticed is I would have been a complete wreck after a 600 mile turn and burn in my STI with the current suspension setup. I feel fresh as a daisy now even though my exhaust drones a fair bit below 60mph. The STI would have been louder because of the road noise and winter tires. Also the lack of lumbar support and bolstering is a huuuge difference between the two cars. The Subaru seats flat out suck ass. My back hurts so bad after just 3 hours of driving. I’ve done 6-8 hours stints in the M with no real complaints about my back. The Conti DWS 06plus were fantastic in the rain and cold across the pass and put the power down well when I had to pull the ol Italian tuneup to get around semi trucks. Plus they were nearly silent compared to the 5 year old DWS 06 I run in the summer on the Subaru. |

Just finished powdercoating my OEM 359 wheels with a 2 step Prismatic Powders PC. Polished Aluminum with a Black Chrome II clear coat. Wanted something OEM plus, something that would be a hair darker to help show the BBK beind it etc… I’ll get them mounted tomorrow and snap a few more pictures. But love the outcome

Finally pulled the trigger and spent the extra cash on a brand new set of OEM 359 wheels instead of reps. Got them mounted today with new center caps and new wheel bolts. Lesson learned…Buy once, cry once!

Local shop in town had a meet. I was looking at the weather forecast this weekend on Friday and thought man it will be nice for a cruise, mid 70’s and sunny. My friends recently got some individual g80’s so I hit them up and they had told me the plan today was to meet up and cruise to the local shop.
So we did just that, only problem was rain came out of nowhere. I retired the E90 from daily duty two years ago so it was the first time I drove in rain for a while and was a nice reminder at the end of the day it’s just a car. Even if it’s a very special one (to me) The g80’s are Ferrari red and velvet blue. |

Stuck in the middle of a TA replacement.
Might as well replace the fuel breather valve. I have that part but didn't realize I need some funky clamp Well have to pick something up tomorrow. I hope the harbor freight clamp works

If you’re going to stick with the original style look for oetiker or single ear style clamps and the clamp tool. Long handled nippers work well too. Or just go with the worm gear hose clamps.

Anyone know how to "flip open" these 2 plastic cuff like things holding the wires?
First picture is of my engine bay Second picture is a screen cap from a YouTube video. I can't tell how I'm supposed to unclip or unhinge the parts

[Gently] Pull the entire clip out of the block using a flathead or one of these bad boys. Don’t waste your time unclipping brittle plastic. Good chance a couple will break regardless of you you attack them.
