Eventuri CF Plenum

Took the old plenum out of the engine bay….. getting ready to install the CF plenum before Thanksgiving….. exciting little project. This will be the only mod for me and everything else will be stock.

Found a mint set locally of 640M (F80 M winter wheels that are 18's) on Conti snow tires. Wheels and tires are basically brand new.

I needed an extra set when I don't have the TE's on the car. Not driving in the winter or snow, but was the best deal that I could find that popped up locally. I think I kind of like the look.

A few years back I did a full audio upgrade which included a complete Bavsound swap and the addition of a JL Audio 600/6v2 amp plus Technic harness.

Because the amp fitment was so tight, and as the amp ages, the amp heat fail-safes kept tripping on hot days. In an effort to extended the life of my amp (they're no longer in production and are going for like $800+), I added a little cooling.

I grabbed a CD changer trunk trim panel from Pelican to add more air space and a couple computer fans. Next I installed a USB splitter to the USB port underneath the armrest, and snaked a 10' USB cable through the rear center console trim, under the rear seat, and behind the bolster.

Wired it all up and now have silent cooling. Fingers crossed that it actually works.

Nice job. I drilled holes on the amp cover to let the hot air out.

New fuel breather! Oil change! Now need to change coolant level sensor (broke) and replace brake fluid.

Dropped her off to get the battery cable recall done.

Praying for a safe return with no unnecessary joy rides 🥲

It actually does let a lot of heat escape for the blower. Much more than the OEM hood.

Wore some new shoes today and drove around

Getting close to 100k miles ... I had better start ordering my maintenance items
The RPM dips when I am sitting and idling
Is that a fuel breather valve issue? Something else?

If it gets worse after a full tank of gas, likely the breather

Is it only when you hit the brake?

I only notice it when I am standing still
The RPM will dip for a second and then come back ... Maybe dip again a few seconds after
The most I have seen it do is about 5 dips while at a stop

It happened before I filled up and also after
Not sure if it was worse after

I should just replace it anyway

If it happens after you fill up, it's most likely your FBV. If it happens all the time, it's either your fuel sensor or MAP sensor. I had an erratic idle and a new MAP sensor fixed my issue.
