oh man. i did that on my e93 and it was a complete pain. couldn't get the trim ring off the old boot, couldn't get the new boot to fit over the trim ring, had the damn thing crack, and even with a lot of dremeling, couldn't get it to fully clip in.

yours looks way better than mine did.

Took me about 2-3 hours to do this install. Heat gun, exacto knife, patience, binder clips, glue, trial and error and more patience. Rinse and repeat.

some guy sells 3d printed shift boot rings on ebay, its expensive but i used that option since I have no patience to try and take off the old ring. Its the dam corners because of the extra thickness from the stitching that messes things up, have to finesse that part.

I'm really happy with the method I worked out. I think most would find it really hard to believe it's not stock.

What did you do differently. looks like you have less material under the ring than I did.

Removed window tint.

I could be getting old but not having tint is way better than having it. The car looks so much cleaner.

Also this Awesome cleaner does a very good job of removing the adhesive left on the windows as a heads up.

Just found out that N54 injectors went from like $200 a piece to $550 a piece lol. I'm so glad I sold that finicky piece of shit.

I had 7 injectors fail on it.

If you live in a climate that allows it, keep it fishbowl!

I was wondering the same. They provide an option to go with the original brembo logo so I plan on going with that instead. The C v e would bug me!

This is my pending rainy day project, my old tint sucks. Might delay scheduling new tint to follow your lead 👍🏻

yeah they are a retro design hahaha. it is a retrofit bbk kit. i think the same too but i plan on fixing it later down the line. doesn't bother me too much since the wheels hide them a tad.

finally got everything installed and holyyyyyy F***! this thing drives like a go kart now. couldn't push it too hard since i'm waiting to get an alignment tomorrow but i'm very happy with the result. brakes have a OEMish feel in the pedal but once you get them hot man do these things BITE. steering is much more responsive and the entire car feels very planted whenever you're under heavy load in lateral transitions and feels even better on the straight. i'm glad there's no lag between both axles as far as response from steering input and i wouldn't say one axle is responding in favor of the other, this truly feels like a solid balance now.

Recently just installed a couple pieces from Tecnocraft (intake cover and discontinued air duct piece). Also replaced my eventuri filter and added a fresh coat of high heat resistant wax. Super excited with the result!

How you liking the carbon klasse plenum? Considering this but no videos or review compared to the other ones on market ….

It is actually from CarboProject (export version). Noise induction probably isn't as loud as Eventuri but it does it's job for half the price. Clear coat started etching for some reason so that's a bummer.
