You'll have to let us know how you make out. I think I made it like 3 days and had to drop back to 80A. Now that car is 99% track if consider going back, but driving 80 miles to / from track would still be frustrating.

Took me a minute to work out the bugs in the f8x rear brake conversion but got it aligned this am and it's points straight once again. In the 20 or so miles I put on her after the alignment I have to say I would do it this way over 100 times again. It's solid, planted, makes a bit more noise, but overall I was expecting much worse after the replies to my earlier post.

It's not my daily and just a weekend fun car so I'm happy with the turn out. The carbon DS was a bit tight to install but is a nice touch to the refresh.

Yeah I am happy with my exhaust that is stock with just test pipes since I really dislike the sound of nearly every exhaust. That one is good though. Nice job.

Since going FI (ESS G1) last year it's ran pretty hot, especially in the summer. First picture is from this past summer.
Installed the do88 oil cooler over the weekend then drove 2+ hours and so far so good. In the early morning when it was in the high 50's and low 60's it barely reached the 210 mark even after an hour of driving. Driving back when it was in the high 70's, low 80's it barely went over the 210 mark.

Took Meg in for a lot of work before the track day coming up on October 23rd at Laguna Seca.
* New brake pads and rotors
* test pipes on stock X-pipe (already had a 2-pipe modded box)
* Alpine Stage 2 tune
* Eventuri Plenum

I truly appreciate this forum because the test pipes, stock X pipe, and Plenum were all purchased from forum members.

Now, I've realized just how dirty my engine bay is.

spent 3 days on a one hour job. new rotors and pads all around (went with hawk hps 5 for street). spent 2 evenings unfusing spacers off the rear wheels and then fighting with the rear rotors. goes without saying that i went to town on the hubs with a wire brush afterwards.

everything's finally back together, now I just gotta bleed it and start driving again.

Great to see some new 'faces' bringing content to the forum!

Dropped Rocky off at the shop yesterday - Bavarian House in PDX - to get my Autosolutions short shift kit installed, front control arms replaced, transmission mounts, exhaust hangers, and diff work. Each of which I can do on my own but needed help on an AC issue so figured to treat myself to some clearing of the list on someone else's labor.

Only the second time I've allowed another hand to work on him. Can't stop worrying - Do you think Rocky's ok, all by himself at the shop???? So far nobody in my home will commit to an answer.

Pictured below, Rocky in between washes. Most people give their cars a female name but this Harrop supercharged, high strung 6MT car exudes a male persona with a name like Rocky demonstrating just how much pepper this car has.

Saw another e90 M3 (silverstone) in the wild a mile from the shop. I think that's my first other e90 spotted since moving from the e93, including a handful of BMW CCA events.

Triple check the AS shifter is installed correctly when your car returns. There are dozens of examples of either the shift lever or selector rod in the incorrect orientation.

How would you know its installed incorrectly without taking it all apart?

As I understand- People have installed the shifter backwards which means the shift rod ends up upside down. It rubs against the chassis and vibrates the shifter something fierce.
