I had no idea that oil pressure sensor failure mode was even possible. Wild

I made a few changes to the M3 over the last month. Biggest changes included a removing the wrap, new swan neck wang from Nine Lives Racing, new Titan 7 wheels , some fender vents from Race Louvers, and BimmerWorld exhaust.

Hitting VIR next weekend for Hyperfest. Excited to test out the new aero and the hoosiers R7s for the first time. Will be my second time to VIR.

Car looks awesome. Nice choice on a wang.

Make sure to run the Titan 7 contingency with NASA! 15% back.

I did it "right" and got flare nut wrenches. The first time I did it, I used whatever fit over both nuts and got it off.

Car looks nice! I have had great luck with the T-R10 rims. And I just like how they look on my car. Look really good on your setup.

Your fender vent is so classy! I don’t have that much class…..

Anyway, the car looks like it’s ready to put down some hot laps! Have fun at VIR! Wish I could be there in the cooler temps. Was so brutally hot and humid when I was there. (Even the locals were complaining hahaha) In 2020, I was committed to doing HyperFest, but then covid crushed those plans. Would love to try get to another HyoerFest in the future. I just looked at the weather for the event. Looks fantastic! The mornings should be perfect for solid hot laps.

Saw your MD plates. I grew up in Silver Soring just inside the Beltway. What part do you call home?

I grew up and work in Southern MD but live in Elkridge (about 20min from Silver Spring)

VIR is awesome but I avoid it during late summer, it gets brutal out there and very humid. Temps next weekend should be in the 50-75 range so perfect. We already have 5 in TT3 and hoping for some more.

I used to mountain bike up in Patapsco State Park all the time. Great biking in that area.

Yeah....cool weather would have been nice, but I had no choice on dates due to combining the trip with college move-in. During more normal times, isn't HyperFest in May?

Go win some tires!

My gf and I do a lot of hiking in Patapsco park

I am not sure, I know last year got canceled and a fake HF took its place. Its only been at VIR once, before that it was at Summit Point.

Cool weather would have been nice when you were here at WGI. My car definitely underperformed due to the excessive heat soak resulting in power reduction in my case.
But, we can fix that. Come back in October to WGI with HOD

I lived in Catonsville last year! Patapsco is great! Currently over closer to Annapolis now. But I just started going to Summit Point. I'll be there on the Main Circuit for BMW CCA Oct 1-3rd. I'm planning on branching out next year and hitting up VIR.

I’m seriously considering selling my M3 and putting a 911 engine of some sort into my 986, and making it my track beast. Tell me I’m crazy, but I love the light mid-engine chassis.

And cost-effectiveness.
It's going to be the new dime-a-dozen swap probably but my FRS will get a K motor at some point
