I've never done a speedsf event but one time I was at LS and was talking to the tow truck driver and he said "speedsf is my favorite track day organizer" and I didn't know if that meant because they run good events or if that meant because a lot of people crash and the tow guy stays busy 😂

I don't own it; I've just gotten to know the organizers and a lot of the regulars well.
You'll usually find me in a trailer with some of the staff 😅 Not sure what to make of that comment either. I can think of a few other organizers that would be top of mind for towing before speedSF |

SpeedSF has good events. I like them better than speed ventures.

I got a weird "Low oil pressure" warning today when driving the car normally. I pulled over, car sounded normal, car was driving normal, no signs of oil anywhere.
I think the sensor might be bad… my door cards were also off with all the wires dangling… not sure if that has anything to do with it.

Chain driven in the front sump of the pan
My buddy just threw a oil pressure light His vanos cap on the cam sprocket popped off and the chain turned it to cat food . the pick up tube was clogged with plastic . It was to late , no survivors |

I'd imagine that would make some noise… my car sounds normal. I'd imagine it's a most loop problem from the door cards being off. Or the actual sensor is bad.

Definitely not from the door cards being off, mine were off for like 5-6 months before I got my "carbon" ones and I didn't have any issues

The reviews on the IS500 seem medicore. Old car they just crammed a huge engine into, still not a true F car.

But does it need to be a true F car for daily purposes? Sometimes I wish I opted for a 340i instead of M3 for daily duties. The extra power and stiffer suspension are unnecessary for daily duties.

Haha, track day decisions are tough
I have a lot of "guaranteed" track days in the E92.

also the reliability of the 2UR-GSE has been great from the high miles on my friends RC-F and even the older IS-F

I use a 280/650 (same dimension as 285/645) roughly a 285/35/18. You can also fit a 295/30 but runs a bit short. This all depends on your inner strut clearance.
