So like on the 991GT3 I had to upgrade the fluid and racing pads and they take a lot of heat to get them to work. But even those have more initial bite cold than these akobonos did warm on the e92. No matter what I did the pedal travel was too much and initial bite not sufficient. Fortunately my shop was cool and took them back full refund didnt even charge me to put the stock pads on.
Have had them on many cars over the years, never had that experience either. They are not quite as grippy up front but once fully bedded I have notice very little difference between them and other top-tier street pads (Hawk HPS, EBC Red, etc.). The lack of dust is huge, and worth a minor difference from a better pad for street-only use IMHO.

I live in a hilly remote area and have this awesome place I can use to bed in my brakes. It got better but just wasn't to my liking.

But sounds like I am the problem not the pads. My shop knows my driving style (we have tracked together many times) and said 95% of people are good with these but he had a feeling I might not based on my style.

That makes sense, as I can see you driving in a much more track-like style than someone in a more urban area would be able to. They are without a doubt not track pads and would undoubtedly fade very quickly given that type of use.

Longboarder Yes in that situation they will definitely not be good. I should have clarified that I meant I am hard on them for street driving. I would switch these out for track use to a more aggressive pad for sure.

Trying on some Titan 7 18s. Thank you to Mashimarho for a great deal on these!

Edit: Yes I have tires on order. These are temporary.

After watching this it reminded me of a member on here named after a sandwich. If you skip to min mark 19:50 you will understand!

Gave the M3 a little love yesterday as she rolled 44,444 miles. New Akebono pads all around, fresh Liquid Moly oil change and a full tank of shell 93. Doesn't get much better then that! Time for a drive😁

5 years of ownership and I finally pulled the trigger on an aftermarket exhaust.. I know what you're thinking.. how the hell did I wait this long… I'm still scratching my head trying to figure it out but here she is!

The workmanship is so damn good in person. And the lemans tips are SO sweet in person. I am super excited to get this fitted!!

With the Harrop uninstalled last weekend, I've been rebuilding the e93 back to NA. Goal is to load the stage II BPM tune and have it running and off the jack stands Sunday afternoon. Next weekend will begin the 100k mile refresh on the e90, then installing the Harrop on the sedan.

I'm leaning toward selling the e93 when I'm done and I was tempted to leave the old spark plugs in the motor. I just couldn't do it - so did a quick spark plug change before finishing the pulleys, belts, and getting the plenum back into place. Also replaced one of the damaged boots discovered when the Harrop came off.

Pictured below are the stock plugs after 9 months and 7500 Harrop supercharged miles. Glad I changed them!

Installed a new battery today. It was overdue and I really didn't like the Optima battery either. Next item an oil change once my lift is freed up again and that should have her prepped for and ready for sale. I think this year's the time to let her go.

*If anyone is looking for 2011.75 E90 ZCP 6MT with only 16k miles on her and 2 owner, hit me up.*

Fuel injectors at 103k. Running a lot smoother. Also looked like my plenum had came unseated so that also could've been the culprit. Upon removal, the stbd back throttle body rubber piece that allows the plenum to seat was pinched. Made sure I got her to seat all the way this time around.

Changed the oil in my E93 for the first time since I bought it last June. Still struggling to get the oil to show proper levels after putting in 8.8l.

Also replaced, what looks like are the original 2008, convertible top cables that were frayed (can't believe a pair is about $30, looks like they cost about $1 to produce).

Since putting insurance back on it yesterday, I've been having fun driving it again after a long winter. The car drives so much better (and stronger) since I put an X-pipe and a stage II BPM tune. Couldn't be happier!!

I just ran into this when I pulled the Harrop S/C unit, which is quite heavy. The rubber boot was destroyed and I had to replace it. I bought a 4XAA battery fiber optic inspection camera on Amazon for $50 to get a close look at the boots this time. Works nice!

I use a spray bottle of Lemon Scent Simple Green.....Non-Toxic to wipe down engine bay after water hosing off the dust...and follow up with a second round of water hosing....and finally using my leaf blower to finish it up.

Took her just to beat on her! She took it well, left her foot prints on a few roads and loved it.
Then cam home and took my sister's M40i for a quick slap down and I am impressed. That suv is very composed and silly quick for what it is.
