I'll give you and Nawaaz my first thoughts about the ssk, I don't like posting anything bad in the other section of this forum because I don't want to have a bad relationship with a brand/vendor/etc At first when I got it installed, I was like wtf is this. This is absolute shit. Worst $600 I had ever spent total. I wanted to know why the f it was so hard to shift, especially when I drove it the first ~200 miles. I found IMPOSSIBLE to engage 1st gear without going from 2-1. I was like I figured it needed to break in or whatever, so I gave it a little time. Over the next ~500miles, it begin to smooth out and became very nice besides this annoying as FUCK click it kept making. It eventually became quieter and only was prevalent when I shifted HARD into 1-2, 3-4, 5-6, and 4-3 downshift. You are welcome to come to our meet and see both of our ssk (and hang out with us ) if you' like. I'm leaning towards Nawaaz's ssk being defective. Something in there may be wrong, but I'm not certain to what it is

Thanks again for your help, Kevin.
Update: I've decided that I'm not gonna fiddle with the stress of trying to figure what's going wrong with my new ssk, so I'm gonna go ahead and change back to my stock shifter soon. Before I got the ssk installed, I wasn't very disappointed with my stock shifter. I mean yeah, it's not perfect, but I was already pretty satisfied with it. Oh well, I gave the ssk a shot, but I just can't handle the mental strain of trying to figure out what's going wrong. |

I also feel/notice it most when I start shifting quicker and more aggressively. I completely agree, Edwin. |

Got my first 'thumbs up' for my exhaust note earlier this evening. The dude was in a crotch rocket, and he said that my M3 sounded AMAZING!
Most other people honk at me, or look at me in hatred when I pass by. One thing's is for sure: As each day passes, this loud exhaust note gets easier to live with.....Believe it or not. |

What exhaust you get? Just today one of my neighbors made a comment on my AA exhaust on my e92 m3. He said, that thing sounds sooooooo MEAN.....it's like it is coming to EAT ME! lol

If your neighbor thought yours sounded mean, then he should listen to mine. I haven't ran into one single person who I haven't scared the LIVING DAYLIGHTS out of!! It literally shakes all my neighbors walls, windows and frames when I'm only cruising past their homes! |

It's not often you don't see very many cars, or people on the road. It's a weird feeling.
I'm probably the only maniac driving through the empty streets with my loud exhaust. Good night everybody. |

You and me both. I felt like I needed to drive around a bit tonight, too. An, odd, quiet before the storm effect. Very strange. Just me and the roads... and some cops just itching to have a reason to pull me over.

Oh yeah, I did see a few cops on the streets. I guess they were expecting problems from troublemakers like us.
Say, what's your name? I was going to put it beside your username which I listed on our M3 Meet List... |

BTW, this is a very interesting video. I’ve always wondered what the BMW engineers think about us modding our cars. I believe that BMW engineers are perfectionists and consider the car they’ve provided to the market is flawless; and we must be nuts for screwing around with this car. Oh, well!
