I've seen others mention that you get about 80%+ of the performance at 80% of the price
I don't know how close that comparison is
I did take the M3 to a track day with the PS4S tires but have not with the ECS so I can't put a % or number on that
but I am more than happy with my everyday driving on the Conti ECS.

How do you know these are genuine considering the cost is so low compared to other sellers? Usually that's a red flag.
Will report back once I receive them. They shipped today.
Just received them, they look pretty legit to me.

Great price...I already got mine through FCP Euro for $45.00 each...So definitely looks similar in terms of packaging. Hopefully Its the real deal and you save some $$$.

Day full of win; Replaced my hood struts with the Stabilus units from O'Reilly's then cleaned out my airbox and air filter. Had my oil changed yesterday by BMW NW in Tacoma since my buddy is a tech there and wanted to check out the car. Not a bad experience but I'm not going to stick with them or the BMW OCI. I was happy to see my friend again after two years.

Today's lose; Started bleeding my STI's brakes with my old Motive power bleeder and the pressure line line split as soon as i cracked the first bleeder, pissed brake fluid all over the towels I used to cover the engine bay. Thank GOD I did that as a precaution but I'm down some Obsessed Garage towels, but nothing got on any paint. AND now I have to wait until my AFE air filter dries out so I can go and get more brake fluid and new hoses. :/

Made 2 big purchases for the car:
1) Ohlins TTX
2) Driftflo 4.10 Drexler Diff

Diff I believe is the same one the M3 GT4 Cup Car runs.
Will be paired to my KMP Axles.

This should totally transform the car and take my build to the ultimate level.
Follow the build on instagram: @screamer
Follow on Youtube: "Alex Rei"

Will post more on my journal once it's caught up.

Well, with a very sad heart, I had to uninstall the Harrop this weekend. Due to a number of reason, but mainly the current economic situation, I felt it better to take the money and make better use of it. I can only say it was the best possible mod for the S65, as it turned it into the powerhouse this chassis deserves. I know it will be enjoyed by it's next owner!

Love my M but every time I finished a project a issue always shows its head when completed. I just finished re-wraping her now I have a odd clicking sound when moving. Well at least she looks good!

Started rod bearing replacement. Debating if I should change the motor mounts. They look OK even after 32K miles

Yes, sadly the OE mounts start to deteriorate after 30k. No brainer if you're already in there.

New belts, water pump, thermostat, sensors, etc all in now. Need to drop the new radiator in and connect the rest of the hoses.

Do you guys think it is worth it to refill the car with coolant, run it, add more, etc with plenum off the car to inspect for coolant leaks? I assume it will throw codes?

Plus a little coolant dropped behind the water pump/thermostat housing so I'd like to burn that off. Cleaned up as much as I could reach during disassembly.

Plenum off will throw and IAT sensor code. Not a big deal at all. Likely best to do as you say to check for leaks.
