I'm making slow upgrades here and there. Today I added the Eventuri Carbon Fiber air box lid while the car is still stored for the winter.

I left it out of the garage last night and we got 4 inches of snow. It is giving me the evil eye today. 😳

Installed my new Alcantara wheel, attempted to repaint the steering wheel trim but didn't come out well. I'll try again with some other paint in the summer.

New to me E93, bought it last November and it's been in the garage ever since, that is until yesterday. With full coverage reinstated I went out and got a fresh tank of 93 and proceeded to burn that down. $5.50/gal. I sported about the countryside on some of my favorite back roads and took in some interstate so I could blast past trucks at 90. Sound is civilized at speed and opens up when I get into it.

D3 the entire time. Gotta set a baseline.

Still waiting almost 4 months now for Eisenmann to come in. So I figured what the hell I will order a diffuser while I wait.

Always wanted the challenge one. Very happy with this piece and will mount it once exhaust gets here.

I got it from IND. it's the challenge/RKP E90 diffuser. I wanted 2x2 since OEM bmw m performance parts are 2x2 and the weave is fantastic.

It arrived in two days I didn't realize that it was an in stock item.

Nice I love ordering from IND. Also their customer service is great.

Speaking of that, ordered new badges with their matte black marker holders. Originally I ordered the badges but they didn't fit in my current ones and the finish on my current ones didn't look great (maybe painted?) so figured just replace them.

Also pulled my last bolt out behind the harmonic balancer. Looked like it was just stripped enough to not accept a bit. Vise grips got it out in like 15 seconds lol thanks Drifter2090

This week we have some warmer temps so need to clean up all the oil that leaked all over the place and start to get this thing buttoned back up. Going to order a replacement bolt and need to fix a couple gouges in the lower radiator bank that got a little scuffed up from prying the old hose off. I don't think it will leak but want to be safe.

The Vapor Barrier is real. Should have been called the Water Barrier. If you've done door work make sure you place it back securely...even the tiniest of gaps will wreck havoc once the rain comes. Also, keep a handful of these clips around.

Debating while I am this far ordering a Do88 or CSF radiator. I am this far, thought about just doing it to overhaul the system. 116k on the car.

Thoughts on this?

Can you post some pics from a distance when you get it on? I have Vörsteiner currently, but am really interested in the RKP. Could never find any good pictures of it actually on a car though, even on the distributor sites (or google).

Nice! We had a sunny and relatively warm Saturday morning and early afternoon. I washed the e93, dropped the top, and drove into Portland to pick up an order of parts from the dealer. It was one of those beautiful spring moments where I lulled myself into the idea that winter was over. A couple hours later rain, wind, and a nearby tornado dispelled that notion. Congrats on the vert. Running a cold air intake, transmission in S5, and a stage I or stage II BPM tune - you'll have a proper intoxicating beast this summer. Love those rev-matching down shifts.

Depends on what your usage is.

Is it just daily? Then just get OEM with a better power steering cooler.

Track use? I've read many great things about DO88 vs CSF. Results may vary tho.

Weekend warrior. I'd like to get a track day in a year once I sort out all the maintenance needed on it.

I went ahead and ordered a CSF. I am this deep might as well knock it out while it was only a couple screws to get it out. Has a broken fan tab and I scuffed up part of it while removing the lower radiator hose.

Got some nice sound clips of the Dinan setup finally and enjoyed a beautiful sunset drive.

Now it's time for (another) wash.

Thinking about DIY'ing my wrap job this summer. Which film do you use?

I figured since I've gotten the hang of tinting, wrapping my own car is the natural progression.

Changed my spark plugs. I'm not super mechanically inclined but it was a relatively easy job. I was pretty proud of myself for doing it successfully lol. I have done plugs on my son's Focus ST but they were front and center and easy to do. The M3 scares me a bit to work on under the hood. Only advice is make sure you have a lot of knuckle joints to piece together something to pull/install the plugs closest to the firewall. Coils 3 & 4 on each side were also a bit of a pain but I used an HDMI cable to pull them free after a little trouble.

Could be placebo effect but I noticed a smoother idle and less engine ticking/noise. Also maybe a smoother takeoff in 1st gear (6MT). The plugs were about 38k miles old so they were pretty much right on schedule for replacement.

It is weirdly satisfying to do your own plugs on these cars. Well done!

I had my CCC upgraded to CIC a few years back, and it is a step up for sure.
