The MiniCooper battery part number that was in my car: 61 21 2 353 815

I've had two of those batteries over the years. EAS in Anaheim, CA installed the first one. And then Minicorsa in North Hollywood, CA installed the second one. I don't know what the story is regarding shipping these kinds of things.

Cool pictures from the COTA SuperLap Battle event continue to surface. Today, Global Time Attack posted a gallery of my car. The pix are awesome!! I reached out to the photographer via IG and he gave them to me.

RKT Productions took these. Thanks so much!!

Sure.

Talked to EAS. They said a battery can be shipped via ground.

(Wasn’t able to talk to Racewerkz yet.)

I'm in Canada so I'll first try to see if I can source it locally thru a dealer to simplify things!

Week 4 of Dogbone Racing League at Buttonwillow is a wrap.

Andrew Lim was in command for both qualifying and the race. He took fastest lap in qualifying and had a pretty solid lead in the race. His lap times are amazing at Buttonwillow in Assetto Corsa. I'm not overly surprised since he hosted an online time attack there....

We had our biggest field yet at this race---10 cars. A couple new entries joined this week---Bernooo and Piranha. Bernooo is a SoCal dude. Good to have him. Piranha lives in Spain. For him to compete, he has to race at 4AM his time! (He's friends with one of the racers and wanted to jump in.)

The race starts are getting better. Less drama, but we still have some contact going out there. Want to keep working on cleaning that up.

4 weeks in, the standings are starting to heat up. And there are some close battles! tsk94 and Andrew are only 9 points apart in 1st and 2nd overall. And the battle for 3rd involves 4 guys only 19 points apart. Given the points system, everything is still completely up for grabs.

Check out the standings:

Next week, we visit VIR. It seems that this track is a bit less known to most of the competitors, so it should be interesting.

In looking at real life tracking, it seems that some tracks are starting to open up. In my original pre-virus plan, I was supposed to be in Atlanta last weekend and VIR this weekend. Obviously, that's all been cancelled, but the events have been rescheduled for July. Unfortunately, my car needs some work and I'm not sure the mechanic will travel from San Diego to Houston to deal with the car before those events. So, the real world of tracking continues to be up in the air for me. I believe Thundermoose was going to a real track this weekend. Nice!

Weather took a turn for the worse so I will end up skipping this weekend. Next up per my plans will be Road Atlanta in June.

hehe the photographer definitely took some creative license with the color of the car. While the pictures are fantastic, Interlagos Blue is a different shade than that.

Today, I used one of the pix as my lock screen image on my phone. I adjusted the blue back to what I think is more like the real color.

Haha it was giving me the nostalgic feels because it reminded me of my favorite fruit roll up flavor as a kid.

Would love to hang out with you and the SpeedSF guys. Unfortunately, my car is sitting in Houston right now. There’s just no chance for me to get to that event. If the virus hadn’t hit, my car would be at VIR right now....ah well...

Have a great time out there!
