I use AD08R. They're symmetrical and I get 20k kms out of my rears, 30k kms from fronts. That's 98% street mileage with some canyon runs and a couple trackdays thrown in.

Anyone seen this before on their rotor?
It is not a crack, at least it is not cracked right through. It seems more like a scratch, somehow. It is just deep enough to catch my finger nail on. Safe to keep using this rotor? |

I wouldn't be concerned and would continue to use it. Just keep an eye on it to see if it spreads. If it doesn't, it'll eventually get worn off anyways.

After my first weekend with the new cage, rear slp arms on the rear and new front uprights from Brett Strom, working on setup had a bunch of exit understeer. Running with the new TT have with BMW CCA and had wheel come off sunday. Was pretty crazy but looks to just need a fender. Also replacing wheel bearings since they are the OE. Cant wait to get back at it much missed.

Experienced some pretty bad knockback this weekend at Motorsport Ranch in Cresson. Pedal took like 3 inches to actually do anything. Will be ordering the parts needed for a full rebuild and the anti-knockback springs.
Also felt like the car would be much better with a wing. When does one know when to add wing? |

how fast are you going though? are you maybe applying too much throttle too soon? i'm assuming you're at COTA. someone with track experience there should be able to help out.

Not COTA this time. A smaller track. Didn't feel like I was going to fast but I always felt a little hesitant to go faster into corners as it didn't feel like the rear grip was there. 275 nto1s all around.

Have u checked your rear alignment? After I installed the sphericals I felt the rear end was more twitchy than usual. Turns out left rear toe was negative (toe out). I fixed that and the rear definitely feels more planted than before the sphericals.

Is there a preferred brand for adjustable front sway bar end links? New suspension requires something adjustable.

I wonder if it is a weight transfer thing. If I could transfer less weight, maybe that would help on turn in? Last edited by b4hand; 06-01-2021 at 11:01 AM.. |

3 inches? That sounds like fade, not knockback. Where at Cresson were you feeling that you needed a rear wing? What was the car doing that made you hesitate?

Maybe try something simple first. Improve the rear track width with a 10mm spacer on each side and that may help the rear grip feeling a little. If you have adjustable shocks some adjustment could be useful too to settle down the rear.
On a separate note, the Bell V2 is what I just ordered and should also fit helmet, neck restraint, and extras.

I have to run the front and rear at full stiff for it to feel good. I think I need to do a rebuild and maybe a revalve for some stiffer springs. The spacer idea is interesting, might try that. |

How fast are you coming into Big Bend? What sort of trail brake are you getting into it? Are you tracking all the way out onto the exit curbing? Ricochet is a bravery corner so yeah it's gonna be a little sketchy. I guess overall I would say that it's a good sign you are right on that limit and feeling the oversteer before it hits hard.
Would be curious to see your video and data, if possible. Not doubting you, but a very minor adjustment to the line or ride height might save you a few thousand on a wing. I agree that a slight ride height adjustment out back would help. My concern with throwing a big wing on, even at 0 AoA and without a flap, would be that the front will start washing out due to an aero imbalance. Then you'll be back on here complaining that the car is missing apexes.... ;-)
