Survived my first track day at VIR, was very slow but able to get up to the D group pace by the end of the weekend. Can't wait for the spring HPDE season to start up!

Yeah that's me! I was definitely giving plenty of point-bys that weekend to the 911s. I think I had the sole Interlagos E92 M3 so it was unique for sure. I think I also saw an Interlagos E46 M3 for the first time and it looked amazing.

Wow great track pics!
Looks like a lot of us went to the track this weekend. I was at Thunderhill. I guess I'll post one up! ![]()

Thank you all for the insight. Since I got the certificates from Discount Tires. I was able to exchange them for a pair of 255/35/19's and they refund me the difference of the 265's. Got home and mounted the new 255's on and now my rubbing issue is gone. Again, I'm on KW H.A.S with natural cambers all around. The fronts are maxed out and I do have about a 2 finger gap. However, I do miss the 265's due to it being wider and it just felt more planted around corners and turns. Though the rubbing made me cringe every time and its just not my style or worth it to keep running them. All in all, I'm satisfy with the 255's. |

Changed the battery and the car is finally back on the road after 5 months of miscellaneous work.

Not today - but close enough:
I ordered Stoptech stainless brake lines and Motul 600 fluid to help with canyon runs and the occasional track day. I've actually been impressed by the OEM brake performance, but I do want to prevent brake fade, as the canyon walls above Malibu can be quite tall and steep ![]() The only issue is the ship date on Turner's website has been pushed back a handful of times. I was initially supposed to receive the order 10/15, but now it looks like it'll be mid-November at the earliest. Thanks supply chain issues... |

Cleaned it, and did my first application of CQ Quartz. Easy process but my paint is only "10ft good" underneath so I'm just hoping it makes it easier to keep clean and will stop any further bird bomb damage.
Weird light outside today, but I'm happy with the shine.

Completed a 4 day, 2300 mile road rally. Portland metro area to the Redwoods Highway, down northern California via 101, linking up to 1 south of the Golden Gate. Regrettably we had to reroute around a rock slide, missing the primary goal of the trip - Highway 1 through Big Sur and points south. Still, highway 33 through the Los Padres National Forest was an amazing and abandoned stretch of twisties going on for 40 miles (see picture of road on Nav map).
We also hit stretches of Encinal Canyon Road and Decker Canyon Road - classic California canyon carving in the Santa Monica Mountains outside Malibu. After dropping my buddy off in PDX, and 2300 miles of undetected traffic violations, I think I popped a red light camera when a light cycled green to yellow to red in slow traffic and I was 3 feet still in the box. Oh, the irony. My apologies for the orientation. |

Not today, but over the course of the last week I did:
Rod bearings and bolts (ACL-HX and BE-ARP) Pickup tube gaskets Oil pain gasket Engine mounts Transmission mounts (figured it was like the E46 and they'd be worn but they looked pretty good, replaced anyways at 76.5k miles) Header to midpipe gaskets New oil and filter New engine air filter Upcoming: Spark plugs VCGs Fuel pressure relief valve (have the rough idle after filling up) New wipers Cabin air filters Trunk struts New thermostat (3 old codes in the computer about it failing) |
