Two different sales people came out and told me it was a Paint Match to LSB. I couldn't find any badging on the car ... with the color ... and no paperwork ... but if you know the guy, then you know better then me. Looked like LSB to me... sorry for the bad info. |

This board (and all others) are about the sharing of information, and that is aided by the help of sponsors. Problems arise, and people leave, when it becomes about protecting sponsors before the sharing of information. (I'd be happy to provide a list of such boards where that has happened.) When that happens, the money that sponsors spend is then wasted as there are less eyes viewing your ads. Everyone loses, including the board op, when both users and sponsors leave. You seem like a good guy, and are clearly putting in more effort than most sales guys that throw out the boilerplate "it can't be done" line when asked about a custom color. I applaud you for that. I'm just pointing out the fact that you have proven that a special order can be done, and the odds are decent that you aren't the only one that the BMW factory will do it for. To be honest, if I were a seller, I'd probably charge a bigger premium for this service as I do agree that it is fairly unique. (I'm not saying that it should be, but it is.) As a buyer, I would shop around to find the best deal. MANY others would gladly pay the premium without doing any research. That's capitalism. Best of luck on your future sales. As previously mentioned, it's nice to see someone go the extra mile. |

So I guess there's no way to get an M3 Individual in the USA. I wonder why not, if they are doing it for Europeans. Can US military get European delivery with BMW Individual?

I have been told by three separate dealers that it is impossible to get special interiors or trims, but you might get special exterior paint. I wanted "Ruby Black" exterior paint, "Walnut Amarone" interior trim & "Oxide Brown" Merino leather which looks fabulous in the European BMW Individual Catalog, "catalogue_bmw_individual_2008", available on this site somewhere.
