DD'ed an e46 M3 for 6 years then the e92 M3 for 4.5 years - most fun 10 years of commuting EVER. Now the M3 is on weekend-only duty and I'm dd'ing a 3.0T Q5...when I first got it I almost fell asleep driving home from work a few times a week.

M3 - it's my commuter, grocery getter, winter car (gets snow tires from Nov-March), more-than-one-other-passenger, responsible adult car. My other two cars are toys and only come out for fun stuff.

I alternate between the E90 330i and the M3. There's a place in my heart for both. I DD the E90 for 5 yrs, great car. Just wish I had more twisties in my commute for both rides M3 is a great DD though, except MPG, of course.

I have a 2002 Nissan Xterra that I drive when is raining or in bad weather. I have a 2011 e90 328i that is pretty much my DD and then the M3 is my toy among others.

Any reason you got rid of the E46 M3? Needed the room?
