My truck will be fine with the weight (posted above)

I will be using my lot at my shop to store the trailer when not being used so the extra 4' wont make a big difference. Just not sure if its necessary or not. Price isnt much different in the two sizes but it seems like 24' have more options on the market

Maybe if anyone else has the same/similar setup, you can snap a pic of your endlinks length?
If you don't get an answer: Take the springs off, soften compression to minimum, run suspension through range of motion. Need to do this periodically to ensure no binding anywhere anyway.
Thanks, I was able to do that and I think I've got it nailed down right, however I don't know where full compression ends.

For me it was with bent strut towers.

Does yours have the rear air suspension? My 40e did and it was a meaningful difference during my tow.
Mine does not have the air suspension that comes with the third row. I looked for one, but that along with diesel was impossible to find.

I got Ferodo DS1.11s on the stock brakes and after two track days I'm at about 25% pad left. Is this normal? I thought these were supposed to be endurance pads that last long. Laguna Seca chewed through these. You guys think it should be ok for one more day? I'm going to Sonoma next which isn't too tough on brakes I think.

Here's a pic

With no ducting on stock brakes at Laguna that sounds about right.. No pad will last long when operating outside their optimal temp range, which will happen with stock brakes with no cooling.

There's definitely a few sessions left in them, but they will wear down faster now that they are low. Keep a close eye on them but you're fine to drive them a bit more.

Add 20mm to the oem end links height and you will be good

Just get gas before you leave. The area on the way back is an absolute ghetto, and I'm sure it's worse by now.

Here's a pic

Endurance pad means it is designed for longer races where temperatures remain high. Sprint races (like an HPDE) see cycles of hot/cold.

Pad wear is not linear. That final 25% will get consumed very quickly, so keep an eye on it -- both inboard and outboard pads. Worn pads also transmit more heat into the caliper and fluid. Bring spare pads and be prepared to change them.

Ask yourself this...if you keep those on and squeak out one or two sessions in a day, how long will it take you to wait for them to cool and change at the track? Is it more cost/time effective to just put fresh ones on before the event? (my guess is yes)

Endurance pads have a specific temp range they last long in. Overshoot that and they wear fast, which is easy to do with stock brakes on this car. A sprint pad (PFC 11 for example) can actually last longer than an endurance pad (PFC 08 for example) if the temp is above the endurance pad's range.

Here's a pic
ds1.11's didn't last any longer than other pads that i liked more, so now i just run what i like.

to echo what others have said, those pads are down to backing plate thickness and they won't last much longer. ferodo pads tend to chunk off once they get a little lower than that. by "chunk off", i mean the pad material starts to come off of the backing plate, and once it starts to go, it all falls off pretty quick if you ignore it and you'll have no brakes for one corner and a backing plate on your rotor in the next corner.

another issue you'll create with running really low pads is putting more heat into the pistons and either cook your brake fluid, or fry your brake piston seals (or both).

bottom line- keep those as a spare set, and get a new set of pads. at a minimum, know how to change pads at the track.

I picked up a set of dtc 70's for my front axle and matched it to the ds.uno's I already had on the rears. Spent a weekend at a hard braking track. The dtc's performed wonderfully. Biggest bonus: It's amazing how the front brakes make hardly a squeak driving around town, and the rears sound like freight train coming to a stop.

Aside from dealing with low initial bite when cold I could see myself keeping the 70's on the car all the time for the few times a week I drive the car to get breakfast or groceries and not have to deal with swapping pads back and forth after a track weekend.

When the uno's finally give out in the rear I can guarantee you what I'm replacing them with.

The price is the cherry on top, after going through a few sets of ferodos. I can get 3 sets of DTC for every two sets of DS.UNO/1.11. Anyone else have this experience?

100% true. I had two pads of my setup entirely burst off the backing plate Thank god I was right by put entry so I was able to quickly come in.

One it's down to backing plate width then they're now moved to emergency spare duty.

Laguna is hard on brakes, so there's that.

Evilspirit - How do you like the ATC trailer? Anything you wish you would have got that you didn't or recommendations on features you're glad you got? I am weighing options between ATC and Intech. From what I understand they are very similar...

Considering a 24-28 foot. Kind of leaning towards bigger. I have an F350 to pull it so weight is not an issue.
I've been really happy with the ATC trailer. Very light for a bigger enclosed trailer. I got the Raven which is lower end in their lineup, but with the side door. I got the plywood interior and then put down an epoxy floor, sanded and painted the walls, and ran 30A shore power.

Ya. When wife's lease came up I offered her the Cayenne and she reluctantly agreed. She couldn't understand why I insisted it was superior in every way to her Lexus. Then she drove it fit a few days and fell in love. So now I have the best of all worlds since I still get to dd an M3 use the Cayenne for track days.
