I kept my cable. Was 175 total with shipping. Got a free usb thumb drive too. lol. After a few days with this. Wow, I love it. I mainly did it for the default to D instead of S. I rarely drive in S. And, many times I forget to double tap the thing. Next thing I know I am revving to 7K in S1. The best part is how it instantly engages to first from a dead stop. You touch the gas and you are off to the races. I can't comment on the faster shifts since I don't drive my car balls to the wall everywhere. I would be dead if I did. I am so glad I did this. Though I still swear my suspension feels like it is harder now. Maybe I am just crazy.

Hello, Is the DCT remap compatible with ECU remap from another tuner?, I have an UPSOLUTE ECU tuning. If I install the GTS DCT software upgrade, will this affect my engine software?, or there are two different computers, one ECU for the engine and another for the DCT?, and therefore you can have two different software installed?

Its wouldn't effect your engine tune at all. Do it!

I have been driving this for about two weeks now. Best 125 bucks I have spent lately. It changes the car quite a bit. I did euro mdm a while ago and adds some fun to the car without turning the TC all the way off. This is more than just fun. It fixes a few headaches that annoyed me with the car. It also gives a performance boost you can feel. I have debated on test pipes and a tune, but I just don't see it worth the money. This is a bargain. It is a huge bargain if you have never coded your car before.

Alex just finished flashing my car with the GTS flash and some other coding requests I had.

Top notch guy and extremely easy to work with!!

GTS flash is AMAZING. It totally smoothed out the jerky down shifts in D mode when slowing to a stop. S4 at WOT hits like S6.

As mentioned before, the S setting saves the last setting used.

got this done by a local bmw coder.

normal driving notes:
-i like that putting the car is drive now defaults to D, not S1.

-coming to a stop the car shifts smoother into D2 as its coming to a stop(i normally drive in D). hard to describe but before it seemed something was grinding under there at times. just depended on driving conditions. all i can say its smooth coming to a stop now every time.

performance notes:
-is shifting quicker? the short answer is i suppose so. do i notice/feel it? probably not but i dont track/race the car.

-the tune seemed to have woken up the MPE.

Sounds like you where flashed with standard Euro DCT.

Unmodified GTS direct file will cause issues, you can read it out with INPA right away. Unless he flashed it with Euro. You can also feel the clunk on slow down, just a FYI.

Alex updated my DCT to the GTS tonight, and all i can say is...WOW...Awesome! The car is already amazing, but this is incredible. Huge difference in my 2013 M3 E93. Alex was very helpful. Highly recommended! Love all the coding changes as well, extremely reasonable price for the value.

dude test pipes are awesome, you don't even know. match it with a tune (yes tunes are expensive, but it makes a huge difference in throttle & steering & power delivery). DCT flash is nice and all (still getting around to actually paying Alex to do it) but its not adding power like test pipes & a tune. test pipes are cheap and an awesome upgrade.

I agree all the coding features are small, but make a huge impact on daily driving joy.
