I could not imagine how difficult the aftermarket 4.1:1 final drive must be to launch and shift at less than dry surfaces.

An M-DCT will be a much more of a fair comparison given its 3.4:1 final drive (much closer to the tall 2.9:1 final drive in IS-F) and 7 speed press-and-go auto shifting is a better match.
I agree in those slick conditions, m-dct (press and go) would be a better match up. When I launch on the street, I just get a little chirp from launch and 1st to 2nd shift but at the track it feels like I will fish out if I don't let off the gas.

lol with an E93? wouldnt waste my time... try filling your trunk with sandbags next time you go out and you'll feel my pain

I guess you're trying to tell me that the track conditions were pretty s--t, which I can see from another posting of 13.3 at the same track... so I guess you shaved 0.4 with a tune which is pretty good!

Ya, should have. I was waiting for gearhead. But not waiting for him anymore.

I will just wait for him at the end of the drag strip.

It's not bad my best was 1.982 and am normally around 2.0+ as well. Does your car have some kind of launch control? Do you powerbreake when you launch? Any burning rubber?

No launch control. No power brake launch, just foot off brake and then on the gas. No burnouts.

You may be able to get a bit of a better time with power breaking but you would be screwing your tranny a bit.

Also reaction time doesn't count on regular test and tune, its only counted in competition races.
