Awesome, I like this guy already... Lambo + Ferrari and both are winter driven. Nice!

Technically its an Audi and yeah, with winter tires + AWD I guess it would be fine to drive in the winter... but seriously, how many Lambos (or Ferraris for that matter) have you ever seen on the road during the winter in snowy conditions?
Seeing as some people garage their M3s during the winter (a perfectly capable winter car IMO) its surprising that someone has the stones to drive their high priced exotics during the winter... much respect!

Maybe he does, saw a black one yesterday morning on the QEW on the way into the office. It had a fixed wing rather than the usual pop up spoiler. Nice to see not everyone treats them like garage queens!

I used to drive my 911 in the winter and it worked great as long as there was less than 8cms of snow. The lack of ground clearance is the main reason that I drive a truck in the winter and not the M.I just cannot do that to a car that I like!My wifes 335 scrapes all the way in from the main road if there is any signifigent snowfall and it does not have any airdams or side skirts.

No reason to not drive a 911 in the winter. Porsches are made for German winters. In fact, Porsche was the first manufacturer to galvanize all metal body parts. I had a 1994 968 that I drove year round with winter tires...the most stable and predictable car I had ever driven. To me the M3 and 911's are the ultimate year round sports cars. I just see the Ferrari as being more precious and delicate. On a side note...just got a car wash...she's jet black again...for tonight anyway. |

Yeah, clearance is the real issue. Thankfully for the most part the roads around the GTA are clear. Since the Wife doesnt like to drive on snow days, that leaves her SUV to me so I havent had to deal with that personally. Quote:

Spotted a Space Grey/Fox Red E93 M3 with the BMW winter tire package today, was around 4:30pm on Eastern Ave headed eastbound going past the BMW Toronto dealership. Pulled up beside the guy and gave him a thumbs up but not sure he saw me. Nice looking ride either way.

So finally got my 2000km break in service done yesterday and all I can say is... wow!!! Already had it up to 8000rpm a few times last night/this morning... the engine is just unbelievable and the car is even more amazing than before.
Fingers crossed I don't end up in jail or with a massive speeding ticket in the next few days... the sound of that V8 winding up to 8000rpm is absolutely intoxicating, I need more!

Spotted a black E93 (could have been an E92, it was 6am - dark and tough to see) this week ramping on the QEW in Oakville. Interesting enough it had Parkview plate covers in it.
