***This Sunday at SCS should be pretty big seeing that it's easter sunday and the last sunday of the month, usually the last sunday of the month is their best turnout....take some pics if you go..
As for the tint it was done by Distinctive Auto. They did a really good job I am very impressed. I will be going back to them in 6 months when I have to strip the tint for the ticket and get it retinted.

As for the SCS I am definitely going. It is only like 5 min tops away from my house so I might as well.

There is another main one that they sit in the parking lot by topanga.

If you are over by Balboa apparently there is a big one over there right as you head north on balboa away from ventura blvd.

These were just the 3 main ones that I asked since this is pretty much some of the main streets I travel on.

He did say that pretty much the whole valley area is really well covered...so chances are if you go for a 15 min drive you will see 1 or 2 cops which is irritatingly true. He even said if he did any speeding himself it would not be in the valley.
cool, I'm around those areas enough to know of those traps...good to know tho, seems every street in the valley has a long enough stretch between stop lights to be a trap tho

Nice, I've used disctinctive auto before as well, nothing but good things to say. I might have to check out there detailing prices and perhaps the motorized retractable plate they offer....

What he said was so spot on...I was thinking of counting...yesterday I saw 4 cops in 2 trips.

It would rain today too. So much for going to SCS.

Yea you definitely have to do it lighter than the rest of the car. I personally never bother with doing the windshield...because if you ever get on a dark road with not many road lights...or try to drive during some crazy fog...it is hard enough to see as is...never mind with a tint on the front windshield.

This is gonna sound funny, but I'm not sure speed traps are exactly. Educated guess = a place where a cop sits with a radar.. Hey, I gotta ask! ^^

Yeah
While we're at it we could list some common traps

1. On victory between valley circle and platt..usually in the morning people speed down the slop

2. Valley circle between victory and elco high..usually after school when kids speed

3. Valley circle on the way to box canyon..kind of rare but time to time..

You should do it. I have 60% on my windshield

Have you ever had a tinted windshield?
I've driven through some fog (especially last fall) and plenty of dark roads and there's no problem

If you go really dark, say anything below 40% on the windshield, then yeah I understand what you're saying.
But anything over 50% isn't bad, especially if you get ceramic (from my experience, it tends to be a little lighter)

Just look at my car
The way I see it is if you have your windows tinted and not the windshield.. the car looks.. off? it doesn't flow well

#3 isn't as often anymore; the cop used to wait a lot by the stop sign on Valley before Stagg.
There was a cop between Vally and Box last week though.. i was coming down around 70 after the last turn from Box... but was able to slow down.
I was in the Z4.... maybe if it was the M he would have gotten me lol.
I didn't have my V1 or anything so I have no idea if he did indeed hit me or not.. nonetheless he didn't bother me.

2 usually only happens right after the school

Valley Circle doesn't hit Platt.. are you talking about Burbank? (Platt turns into Burbank)

The valley in general is ridiculous with police. Every single time I go out I see at least 2-3 cops...it is pretty ridiculous now. I mean I appreciate it for the fact that the crime in the Valley is very low...but it is pretty damn annoying.

I mean when I lived in San Diego there I would be lucky if I saw a cop once a month.

The way I see it is that they set up the speed limits to be safe for even the worst of cars. So think of the rust bucket car who takes 5 minutes to brake from 45-0. The speed limit signs are safe for them so that it is safe for everyone. Sooo in all technicality since my cars performance is much better than those cars around me I should be able to go 10 mph faster and still be safe.

Try proving that in court lol

My laser jammer switch isn't working.. need to get it fixed

I noticed i tend to speed more in the Z4 than the M3... i think it's the torque.
I can get up to 40+ much quicker in 2nd gear than I can in the M
