I forgot to add that the CEL is because of the cats that's it.

I also noticed that the car didn't wanted to start after sitting for 3 days. It took multiple tries.

How do you know it's because of the cats? Are you just going off of an increased emissions code?

My fuel sensor went bad and caused an increased emission code.

Like others are saying, it's not the tune it's your car. Get it fixed.

Wanted to get my testimonial in on pg 69 (oh yeah) and say i love the stage 2 w/ DCT tune. Car feels better everywhere in the powerband. Ive only gotten to drive the car once or twice on dry roads so far since the tune but so far i love it. I got a baseline dyno right before the xpipe and tune so i look forward to seeing the results of a fresh run with the mods. Will try to toss in the improvements if any when i get it. Happy motoring.

okay so whats the actual CEL CODE dummy. how was that even helpful to tell us. i swear to god if you have stock cats and running a stage 2.. ive lost hope.

It was never actually said that the cats were deleted, so I have been wondering the same, and has yet to say what codes actually come up, just that they are related to cats.

you didn't by chance do some pulls after xpipe and before stage 2 did you?

really curious as to what the tune actually adds

I recently moved to CA and need to deal with SMOG. To pass the SMOG, is going to the dealer to update my map my only option? I read BM3 for the BMW F-series, flashing back to stock is not enough. Not sure if that's the same case for E9X

I currently have Alpine stage 2

Flash your stock map with the Alpinemss software. Just passed smog a couple weeks ago no problem, not sure why bm3 would make you fail smog if it's stock software but that wouldn't apply here.

Reading from another post by someone in the know the ECU can be flashed as many times as you like as the counter can be overwritten.

Just programmed the Stage 2 tune. Nice tune!! Not only does it produce a considerable HP gain but the pull is noticeable more linear now, ie the previous pull peak at around 5500 is pretty much gone. Anyone else notice this?

As for HP gains, it feels about the same as going from cats to catless. Say around 20HP at crank.

Not sure how much I (un)like the launch control yet. How you guys liking it?

I want to thank Alex@Alpine for his help over the last few weeks. I went through a few tune files (Stage 2 and Stage 1) and just this weekend had my PC blue screen while installing the tune file. I messaged him before going to bed Friday night and when I woke up Saturday morning he had some proposed fixes sent to my inbox.

I thought I was going to miss a great weekend for some top down driving but thanks to Alex I'm back up and running first thing this morning.

Pardon my ignorance if this has been posted somewhere in this 70 page thread. Tried to read as much as I could before asking.

Does Alpine tune supercharged M3s?

I see the supercharged DCT flash, but no ECU one. Would love to get both tunes at once since I need the DCT tune for my car regardless since it's on stock calibration.

Does anyone know if the silver cable provided by Alex is a KDCAN Cable? I'm trying to use this cable to connect to INPA, but I'm having trouble connecting. Figured this might not be a KDCAN cable but wanted to know so I know where to start troubleshooting.
