Welp, November track season is done for. Got rear-ended on I-35 today. No injuries but the transmission cooler got damaged so it had to go on a flat bed.

fews words about 2 weeks of my testing Michelin PS4S:
everyone knows, but i'm very impressive about them, and I'd like to tell you. Really perfect grip on wet! with 255 width on front and -1,25 camber, the car feels much more informative in steering. on dry, maybe grip is near the Federal RS-RR, but PS4S much softer sidewall, and became hotter faster but I'm not a pro- driver and I can be wrong, don't blame me) |

Just wrapped up a roll bar install on my car today. Had it built by a local cage builder. He builds many of the race car builds around here. I really didn't want to go the auto power route as it goes over the wheel Wells. He came up with a clever bracket that ties into the frame of the trunk opening and the rear seat belt bolts. I wanted it fully bolt in for resale purposes, and expandable to a full cage if o ever go that direction. For now it will suffice for nasa/scca TT rules

My gold hats are now barely champagne colored after 77,000 street miles. It's a neat look, very "rode hard and put away wet airplane"

The black hats usually turn a weird purple color from the heat. Even my OEM Brembo hats did it.
Also, good news on my car: there's no backup at the body shop so they should be able to get started on it right away. I was nervous they would have a bunch of other work to finish first.

I have a set of 5.5" (140mm) Eibach springs, 60mm ID, 571lbs (100N/mm) that I bought to bump my front rate a little and move the spring perch up for wheel clearance but I've decided to just leave the car alone for now.
These will work perfect for KWs that use 60mm ID springs, or any other aftermarket setup using the same size. $150 shipped.

Looking for input on what else I should consider doing, as far as suspension goes. Car is a 2013 DCT coupe with 29k miles, if that matters and around ~200 lbs removed. Still street driven from time to time, when the weather is nice.
Suspension mods so far: - MCS 3-way adj shocks with remote reservoirs. 600f and 900r springs - Vorshlag camber plates - Eibach adjustable front sway bar. Rear is OEM for now. - Hotchkis adjustable (front) sway bar end links - GAS monoballs in the front tension arms. -> Ride height is 25.5" from ground to highest point on the front fenders with a 265/35/18 Cup2 tire. I do plan to replace the rear subframe bushings with solid ones and add an adjustable rear sway, at a later date. At this point, I'm considering buying Turner Performance tie rod ends, to eliminate bump steer -> https://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-5...-tie-rod-ends/ Should I think about anything else on the front that is worth doing? |
