Where do you guys like to look for your "deals"?
I've been looking on m3post, auto trader, and ebaymotors. Local craigslist didn't have much and Dallas BMW dealers dont have anything. It doesn't seem like there is a massive pool of cars to choose from...I realize that the m3 is somewhat limited, but I want to make sure I'm not overlooking a good place to find cars. So where do you guys look? Parker |

^^ I actually just landed in dallas right now . Heading to indiana.
If your looking for new you be better off just getting a 2012 due to almost extinct 2011 allocations. There are units out there on lots but yes its getting slim. If your looking for used there are a bunch on the forum right that forum members are looking to unload. Good luck with your search and if you need any other assistance feel free to shoot us an email.

working out a deal...
So I found a "demo" E92 with 3k miles on it, int blue, fully optioned sticker of $74.8k. It has BMW performance parts (grills, side gills, cf spoiler and mirrors, bmw perf exhaust, clear bra) totaling $9k add ons.
They are only willing to take off $3k from the sticker and nothing off the add ons so a total of ~$81.8K for the car. The car will title out as new. The car looks sweet which is the only reason why im even thinking about buying it after them only telling me they are only knocking off $3k from the car. I mean it already has 3k miles on it!!! What is the approximate invoice on a $74.8 stickered car? Sold my old E93 and picked up an 08 911 turbo and love it but theres something about this color combo with the cf roof that just gets me hooked. It would be a great project car with a great starting platform. They were also saying that they weren't getting any 2012 allocations in which I think is BS. What are your guys thoughts?

^^ seems like you can do a little better imo. We sell the parts at basically cost and with the pricing we give on the car and the parts you might be able to do better and it would be brand new. The only positive thing is that the car is on the lot ready to go.

^^ thanks for the reply. Do you know the margin on the parts? I spoke to them again and they said its still a new car even though theres 3,000 miles on it. I understand their perspective but thats the most important 3,000 miles of the cars life in my opinion. For them to sell the car at the same price they would sell a space gray same optioned car with 10 miles on it sounds absurd to me.
So I brought up the point, say the car I want was brand spanking new, then why can't they sell the parts at cost instead of selling it full priced? Still wouldn't budge. I can't imagine a dealer taking the gamble of having a modified new car with 3,000 miles on it with restricted clientele being interested in the car since it's modified sitting on their lot with 2012 allocations down the pipeline. Am I missing something here? Are these cars in that high of demand? I mean theres A LOT of used ones out there already...

Its basically a demo. They figure someone will buy it if you don't. If you can wait for an order I would suggest you get a new one. The dealership is trying to make a good size profit on that unit and its prob their only one so they have to get as much out of it as they can.
Just let us know if you need any assistance Ryan email is in my signature below.

You deserve a new car man, not a demo. This is a huge purchase, do it right, and then sleep at night knowing you did the right thing. |

You too Golffrr.
Quick question. Im in the DT LA area, so if I got the car from you guys, and needed to bring my car in service (Camarillo is a lil far) and I take the car to a closer dealer. Will I still get a loaner/rental at the closer dealer while mine is in for service? |

every dealership is different when it comes to loaners so I can't answer yes or no on that however I can say that yes you can take your M to any BMW dealership for service regardless if you bought it from them or not. A dealership should be happy to have you as a service customer no matter what, and if they are not then I would say that isn't a dealership you want to be associating yourself with in the first place.

EDIT: Sorry, meant to post this in the used thread, sorry
Need advice on price. I am not necessarily in the market currently, but I have noticed a 2011 sedan with 7.2k miles on a used lexus lot. It has been there for at least a month. It has minimal options. Grey with cloth, moonroof, ipod, bluetooth, silver 18s...thats it. They are asking ~53k. Which is right around the invoice for a new one with similar trim (correct me if im wrong). Does this seem like a fair price? If not what would a GOOD price be? Also, it seems odd for someone to drive a BMW for a few thousand miles and sell it. I like the stripped option thing but why moonroof?? Thanks for your advice.
