Two (dumb) questions..
Is there a reason you changed out the tie rods?

I'm thinking about getting the same floor tiles as you, does it make using the creeper a pain and does it hurt to kneel on it lol? I would imagine sitting on the ground and rolling onto your ankle bones would be brutal without some sort of pad.

- Coded out TPMS with Alpine Coding
- Fixed EDC error at the rear (you have to pretty much take the whole rear lining apart to access the E93 shocks).
- AVIN head unit and backup camera
- Replaced tail light with broken leds
- New oem M3 floor matts
- New leather center console
- IND color matched reflectors
- Black gloss vinyl wrapped window trim
- Replaced all 4 ABS speed sensors
- Replaced previous owner's cheapo wheels and spacers with AG M359 and tires. Much more stable and smooth ride without the spacers. Really impressed with the AG wheel paint and finish.
- Steel wooled and Mothers Polished the chrome tailpipes (they were terrible before)
- Full leather cleaning and repair of the side bolsters
- Removed soft touch from interior trim, sanded, and repainted with colorbond
- New steering wheel trim and fat rewrapped steering wheel with M stitching and red M button

Very Nice!!! I have my B6 bilstein EDC shocks and new Eibach springs still sitting in the box.....on the fence on DIY or have my friendly neighborhood mechanic install it.

I took it to a local leather specialist. He cleaned, prepped, added filler, and dyed it. Took him less than 2 hours to do both bolsters and clean all the leather surfaces.

Last time I did an alignment two years ago, mine were badly seized and had to be torched to allow for adjustment. My trusty alignment guy basically hated me and told me he's not touching my car again until I replaced these

I picked up a new pair of tie rods two years ago but didn't bother installing them until now as I installed the coilovers. Happy to have trouble free adjustments now!

And yeah, I use knee pads when working on my car with these tiles in the garage. Sometimes I don't bother, they're not that uncomfortable...

The e9x caps do not fit (too large). BMW part # 36136850834 will fit.

Fitted a new BMW OE battery today - the negative terminal was a fucking headache to bolt back on, and that support bracket - you need kid's hands.

Removed front splitters to make way for the GTS 2 piece lip.

Attempted front rotor replacement and absolutely failed when I reached the rotor bolt guides - threaded both on the 1st turn with the 7mm Allen. The 18mm caliper bracket bolts were seized to hell too, had to break out the breaker bar. Overall brakes are very straight forward and fast - if nothing is seized, otherwise, what the actual fuck did BMW think when they fitted non-stainless steel rotor guides on there.

Back to the hardware store to drill these babies out tomorrow.

It was a big couple of weeks for Meg. Got the rod bearings replaced, winglets put on, wheels powder coated (low-gloss black), and 15/12 spacers. Wiped off the dirt this morning and looking forward to a trip with the top down to Santa Clara this weekend (fingers crossed for good air quality).

Yup! Proportionally, smaller center caps makes the wheel look larger and the 18" wheel makes the rotor look larger. It's kinda like; If you shave your moustache, your nose will look larger.

foam cannoned my car for the first time last night



i changed my oil as well ... started draining the oil and then realized that FCP didn't send me a filter with the rest of the stuff
ugh
i emailed them this morning and they're sending me a new one
it's annoying but at least it will get taken care of

Haha. With the time it will take for FCP to get to you, I'd just go to the dealer to get one, and then you'll have the FCP one to store for your next oil change.
