I hate it and love it all at the same time! Is it just a sticker that fits properly or actually a roundel with the Maryland flag?

Took the car for a morning cruise.

Came home and cleaned this BMC filter. Special thanks to my friends and fellow forum members who pointed out I'm a dummy for not paying attention and almost throwing this away in favor of the cheaper OE Mahle filter. $20 for the cleaning kit and a little TLC later it's ready to put back into the car.

Lol yeah I felt the same way when I initially saw it on my neighbor's f80 but it grew on me every time I ran by it. It's just a sticker

Yesterday..
QuickJack the car up, (love how easy it is)
Belly pan and transcover off
AA catless x-pipe off
Transfer O2 sensors to OEM x-pipe.
Clean up some of the under side
hang the oem x-pipe
belly pan and transcover on,
flash ESS SC Emissions tune (5k rpm limit).
Take a (quiet) drive to get the emissions monitors ready.

Tomorrow..
Take to inspection station
Cross the street to BMW (very convenient!) for replacement belly pan bolts (they're one time use), new header/midpipe seals, and new hardware.

Wednesday..
Repeat in reverse order

Is this car somehow still under warranty? Trying to figure out why you would unmodify your car just to have these few maintenance items done. Also, since you're already jacking your car up and doing all this, why not just do the seals and hardware yourself?

Plugged the Tunai Firefly under the arm rest delete in my 08 this weekend. Tiny 15 dollar piece off amazon that finally allows me some pretty high quality bluetooth, no aux cable needed.

I can't copy links within the amazon app. Just type in Tunai firefly and it'll pop up. Just checked again, it was 35 bucks, not 15. Still worth it. Very high quality sound for what it is.

My pan bolts are original. My car is 12 years old with over 100k miles and I have taken my pan off at least 10 times (for the same reason as you, to do rod bearings, to change suspension arms, to replace the ground cable, and other work).

You're still limited by the aux cable from the Firefly to the car audio jack.

I'm going to do combox eventually.

No doubt, It's not a perfect solution to an audiophile, but: 35 dollars vs 700. This isn't my dd, and I bought this car to listen to the music under the hood and shooting out the back, not for what comes out of the speakers. That said, when going to dinner my wife would prefer actual music, so this is a cheap and clean option. Listening to some Kanye and Cudi through the aux port the premium sound setup still sounds absolutely fantastic.

Had the first Cars and Coffee of the year - everyone stayed a little distant. Lots of nice cars.

Ohhh. I understand. I've never lived even remotely close to a state that does that. Forgot that was a thing.
