I just received the dreaded increased emissions today on my 2013 E93 M3 (65k miles).
Sounds like a mixed bag in this thread between o2 sensors, actuators, valves, bad battery, and gas. Is there any definitive resolution that is a sure thing or it is all dependent on pulling the codes unique to the vehicle?

Got the code as well - increased emissions - 2013 E93 M3 80k miles - and went to read the codes today - and the car showed no "check engine" lights. I don't drive the car much so it may be a low voltage issue with the battery. Does anyone have the cost to repair the O2 sensor or even what they paid to get a new battery - which I do have a scanner - but not the one that can program a new battery...argh. Any insight would be helpful. |

Did you get your M3 fixed - what was the final diagnosis - and if you choose can you include the approx cost to fix.

“Increased emissions” is not a code, it’s a whole category of issues. You need to scan the car with a bmw specific scan tool or you’ll just be throwing parts at it. Could be anything.
