i am sure the resistors and connectors are almost exact
so the only difference is the actual LED
and no matter how good these are
soon enough someone will come out with the 20w ones
and we'll have to fork out another $300 for the latest ones

and as for the M tax
the 10w LED bulbs are around $15 each
2 per side per bulb = 4 bulbs
total cost is 60$
add to that the resistors and connectors
say another $40
the M tax is about $150 on this one
and i'm giving 50% profit margin

The resistors on the RD unit is the main cause for it to be dim. If they solved that problem by using a constant current driver that will adapt to the voltage change when the headlights are turned ON/OFF, that's quite a bit of R&D. So, don't jump to conclusions that quickly.

The main issue was not getting 10W LED, but it is the issue that nearly every single company has had when creating the e92 angel eye kits: uniform brightness on both the inner and outer ring. These are machined out of aluminum, and takes countless hours of re-designs until we finally got it perfect. It's just not as easy as you make it out to be unfortunately.

Any reason you won't post up a pic of the product so we can see what you're talking about? I love the idea of being able to have both rings uniformly lit, but want to know what $300 gets you.

You simply get what you pay for - the GP Thunders are merely colored bulbs and do not fix the uneven lighting in the rings.

The AiBs exhibit very little heat, produce no errors and being LED-based, will last much longer than any halogen bulb.

Post pics in medium to bright sun of stock vs. GP Thunder vs. your kit (and perhaps vs. Camaross305's HID kit). They certainly do not have too be as bright as Camaross305's kit to be a big winner.

Thanks for those Brandon. The issue is that LEDs have been traditionally very weak in direct sunlight or bright conditions. The vast majority of the pics EAS keeps posting shows the new LEDs and comparisons in shadow, overcast or downright dim conditions. It could appear that you are trying to hide something. I am very much behind this product, appreciate the optical/engineering challenge to get uniform brightness and love the plug and play type of solution. The price is steep, but if the pics I keep asking for look good this will probably be not only for me, but a big winner overall. A single favorable picture, as I have been asking for, will silence the vast majority of requests for pics and any doubts about the product

totally understandable. We have some pics shot with the sun literally hitting the headlights dead on, but the only problem is that you cant tell if it is sunlight that is lighting the ring, or if its the LED, since they are both 5500k in color temp.
