Considering I teach advanced driving in this city everyday I won't get into how much I disagree with these cameras so just FYI for all Calgarians....
Speed on Green moves forward Updated: Tue Mar. 31 2009 17:44:13 ctvcalgary.ca Drivers who speed through intersections with red light cameras will now pay the price for their infraction. Beginning Wednesday, the cameras will start taking photos of any vehicle speeding through green and yellow lights. Fines of up to $351 will be mailed out to the registered owner. The use of the cameras for speeding infractions is endorsed by Alberta Health Services. AHS says collisions in intersections are among the most serious in the health care system. Health officials say they support any measure that will bring down the number of injuries sustained in serious crashes. Police say between three and five cameras will be rotated among select intersections. I know, speed on green, another excuse to take money out of our pockets.
Why not just have a effin road tax and call it what it is. Do we not pay enough stupid fees yet. There is absolutely no proof on this on, just another money grab. Why not police more, oh yeah, that's right, we already have a friggin ton of police and yet we ned to collect more of our money.\ Same bs in edmonton |

Yup, big money grab up here too. Starting probably the same time. More money for the city to piss away on ridiculous art galleries and to feed special interest groups who need another outdoor pool in Edmonton.
It is only warm here for 3 months to friggin run it, effin idiots |

True or not that's what I was told. SO HERE'S AN IDEA.... Lets put all the speed cameras in, take away Race City, and let Exotic Dealerships open so no one has ANYWHERE to drive all these great cars!! What a great effing idea that is!!! Good luck out there boys.....

So should we start thinking about a small meet? I'd love to see what you guys have done to your cars and what you are thinking of doing next.
My next mod will be Dinan Diff (3.62 gears for the M-DCT) just waiting on tax situation....

Had 19" Summer tire flat repaired
When I had taken off the factory 19" summers in October I had noticed one of my front tires had a nail in it. I recently took the wheel and tire to the Kal Tire on Edmonton Trail to have it fixed. I had got the car late September, so my wheels were absolutely MINT. Not even the smallest mark or scratch.
I picked up the wheel and tire late yesterday afternoon, and was in a rush to get somewhere else. I should have known something was up because they didn't charge anything and placed it in the trunk of my car for me. By the time I noticed the damage, they were closed. Obviously I'm ticked off about the damage to the wheel, but does the plug look ok? Is it supposed to have a hole in it? Would it be safe to go on a track? |

Kal Tire sucks ass. They f'in scratched a set of my Accord rims years ago. I'll never go there again.
I have nothing good to say about them. Anyone who damages rims deserved to be shot. NEVER GO TO KAL TIRE. Sorry, I am getting pissed off just thinking about it. Fixing a tire is no excuse for doing damage. Sorry to hear the story. I am gonna repost in the Edmonton thread too just to make sure none of us ever get screwed again. |
