You don't NEED a supercharger to improve the car's performance. You just NEED to know what you are doing and where you are spending your money.

I have not spent much on performance mods yet, and I have proof the car is significantly faster, not just my opinion.
I agree with you 100%
Just out of curiousity, what mods have you done to improve your car's performance!

I will reserve judgment until I see both kits completed with details. The VF kits for th E46 M3 are a bit better than the AA kits, IMO.
IMO, your wrong.... While I'm not gonna go as far as saying that VF is bad, AA is where it's at bud. Yes, I have seen seen them both for the E46 M3.... There is a reason why the fastest M3 in the world (youtube, "TazaM3") shipped his car to Active in Miami from Cali is all I'm saying...... Also, build quality goes to Active as well.

Simply, the kit is more complex than previous kits, requires more attention to detail & if something is not installed properly then it will not allow the car to run properly. The new V8 changes the set-up completely from the previous straight 6.

You're sure it's your performance mods that got you this good time, not your driving skill and the conditions that day? You're sure you couldn't have gotten that in your car if it was stock? Also how much have you spent to go how many tenths of a second faster on the drag strip? I'm not saying you're wrong and your car isn't faster, but I question how many thousands of dollars it takes just for a couple of tenths on the drag strip with this car? Not an issue if your only plan is to drag race the car, then doesn't matter how much you spend cause any time advantage is good. But a couple of tenths for thousands of dollars on a street driven car seems a bit crazy to me. Of course a stroker or supercharger is many thousands of dollars, but there is also huge gains to be had.

Yes, what I am saying is a stock M3 is not running 12.1. That is exactly what I am saying and the time is due to the mods.

I picked up 6 tenths and 4 mph from when I ran before. I am not sure if you are familiar with trap speeds or ET, but that is huge. You don't pick up 4 mph with DCT due to driver skill. That would be where the 60 foot comes into play. Even better is that it was done on a motor that is already 100 hp per liter. There is more room to tune with this motor than the average person realizes.

Let me tally what I spent....

Powerchip $990
Rpi Scoops $100
Cat Delete $400
Evosport Pulley $400

Less than 2 grand is thousands? These are just basic bolt on's.

You realize a stroker is only going to do a couple tenths better than this, right (on paper)? A supercharger is only going to be a couple tenths faster to 60. You need to put huge gains into context.

Sorry, but you are wrong.

Taza's car is not a kit you can buy from AA. He dumped tons of money to get a one off tuned car, not applicable. Unfortunately you don't seem to know that the fastest M3 in the world belongs to Horsepower Freaks, not Taza or AA. HPF passed AA by big time in that arena. Taza's M3 is not supercharged anyway, so what point are you trying to make?

If you look at the supercharged cars, VF cars tend to make the most power on the E46 M3. Not opinion, fact. Not to mention VF tunes on 91 not 93, those in California would be wise to take this into account.

I bet its Josh (Tightie). Just a random guess.

Love the Supercharger Active. Keep up the good work. The M3 will be even more feared with this add on.

Taza's car was a beast even with the SC'R, but his turbo kit was a one off, not really relevant to the SC'r topic, no doubt it was crazy fast, traction was the main issue, but it is relevant in terms of what AA can do. They make great products, and I have little doubt this one will be steller as well.

VF bad?, do some research on their E46 M3 setup, currently VFE has the quickest 60-130 time, 8.6 seconds on stock internals for an E46 M3, right behind BHS's 8.59 SC'd E46 M3, with built internals and 18psi, that made 644WHP, and VFE has the fastest 1/4 mile time on just boost for ANY supercharged E46 M3, OTS stage 2 hit 11.5 @ 122mph, same Stage 2 that everyone else runs with that kit, no extra goodies on that run, except DR's. AA is right there as well though. The build quality on the VF kit is exceptional as well.

Fact is they are all very capable, and I would recommend all three, AA, VF or ESS.
