No need to mess with any electrical stuff other than whats under the air bag. Do not forget to disconnect the battery before unplugging air bag!

Well guys i need some serious help here. Everything went fine on this install until we went to put the new wheel on. Basically it would not just easily slide right on even though the spine in the wheel was lined up with the hole in the column. So we pushed the wheel on as far as we could and proceeded to tighten down the nut to get the wheel to go down. It did, but its not flush with the steering wheel column. There is probably a 1/8" gap. Upon reconnecting everything the wheel is off center and the DSC error came up when driving around. We took the airbag back off, took the 16mm bolt out and tried to pull the wheel off with no luck. That thing is stuck on there and just wont budge. Anything I can do here or am I going to have to make a trip to the shop to have the wheel removed? I honestly have no idea how the would even get it off....it won't budge at all.

Is anyone able to tell me what the part number of the Little 12 pin plug (A7) is my 2nd hand set up from BMW display does not have this plug and im stuck. BMW are trying to help, but no joy. Even the Tech guy in Germany doesnt know. As the main wiring loom has been discontuined. If some has one to hand that would be amazing. |

I'm having trouble removing the main steering wheel bolt, did you guys use a torque wrench if so how many pounds? No luck getting it off with a standard socket wrench.

As a public service: tighten your steering wheel to 46~47 ft lb, or 62.5 nm per the service manual. I saw 75ft lb posted somewhere in this thread, and that's too much torque!

for those with 6MT, do you still have to route a plug to the center console (near the shifter)? I'm just curious why there's a need for one plug to go to the center console.

I installed my performance II non-electric today, loving the end product. I am curious though, upon initial startup I was welcomed with the high battery discharge rate warning. Could I have buggered something up by disconnecting the negative terminal, or is the pure coincidence?

e90 330i with a tiny problem in BP Ele. Steering Wheel v1.
Good day!
My e90 330i just built this BP Ele.Steering Wheel, everything is going well, ONLY one tiny issue...No Oil Temp Show Up? Need Coding? Or Re-Connected Battery?(We did not do disconnect Battery in this time.) I just found two versions of Instruction of installation from BMW AG, I used the 2008 version. Any Suggestion? Many thanks!
