I just call it like it is. I own an e92 M3 now. The truth hurts to some.

This is my first BMW, won't be my last. In fact, the plan is to purchase a CPO'd 2013 M3 after I enjoy my 335 a few years, probably middle 2015. But alot depends on what the new M looks like, also the F30 335 coupe. M3 is a special car no doubt, I always give em props when I see them on the road. Unless its a vert. jk jk. My E92 335i is my first BMW. I would have loved to have been able to get an E92 M3, but I couldn't afford it. So, I put a tune and intake on my car and I'm pretty happy with it, overall. I still see M3 coupes on the road and drool a little, though.

Owned both.... When E92 335's first came out, they were beautiful, fast and cool. I still like them very much but it is in no shape, way or form better / faster than an M3.
But then I am among those people who overpaid $25K for a slower version of 335 -what do I know :-)

M3 > 335i No question about it. An M car is just a different breed.
Now, my old E60 M5 > M3

I agree with op's rant, i would be annoyed as well if i can afford an M3. Nothing worse than bias owners. Self defense mode is embedded in all of us but lets not let it cloud our judgement now.

Yeah...I was kind of being sarcastic. They really are two different cars (the e9x M3 and the e60 M5); it really does come down to preference and what you enjoy doing with the car. No way I could hang with an M3 in the twisties with my M5, but WOW that 500hp was something. I miss that car so much.

Idk, from my standpoint, it doesn't matter what I drive. I am going to defend it to the death because it is MY car. Which is clearly what a lot of people in this thread are doing.

Come on.. there is NO arguing about it. The S65 is a far superior engine and that is not debatable. Can the 335's engine be modded for more power than a stock S65? Sure. An S65 can be modded too. However, the power that can be created through modding has little to do with the quality of the engine. Debate which car is the better performance "value" all you want but let's not start silly debates on which engine is better.

[QUOTE=ihc95;12587310]yo how do you M3 guys like having no torque.
How do you like having no breaks? 335 is a great car but there is a reason the M3 is in a different league, you can make any car fast especially FI, how do you feel when STI, Evo, Srt-4, civic turbo etc, etc man handle your 335 while paying less money to start. I know you are all proud of the 335 as you should be but if you had a choice to buy either an M3 or a 335 I'm sure you all would pick the M3; please don't lie to yourself. I had a choice and choose the M3.
