The drone is only at 3k. It's 75% gone at 2900 and 3100. It is absent through the rest of the power band.

I've got a Fabspeed X-pipe - Resonator and secondary cat delete. The rest of my exhaust is OEM. Not sure if mine would count as an aftermarket exhaust but I thought I'd throw it in there. It's got a nice rasp\sound to it which sounds really good on downshifts (from what I've been told)..

The Dinan x pipe is very nice, as is the Akra of course. It depends on what you're after really. Max power without the concern of unburned fuel- Dinan. The Dinan unit has very well built resonators that will eliminate rasp, but is totally catless. The Akra has high quality resonators as well as small 100 cell cats, so the majority of the fuel smell is eliminated. Another option would be to add test pipes to the factory x pipe so that you keep the factory secondary 200 cell cats and basically all smell is eliminated as well as drone and rasp. If you have the MPE, I'm sure you've heard the video clip from EAS of the lime rock with the MS test pipes? I know videos do not do exhaust systems justice, but they are a good starting point.

Haha, you know Spring time=Mod time! No use spending money on a car I don't drive in the winter. I see a Benvo tune in the near future and perhaps turner test pipes...and def a AA pulley. I have to find a way to keep up with you on our 'spirited drives'.

Then you'll need some seat time and lessons. Speaking of, lets get to a track... Before we do that, throw those V12s in the garbage!

True, Im not a fan of the V12's but they came with the car...will also get new tires in the spring. Im still working on the private track day. Looks like sometime in Feb. I still want to do the 2-day M driving school as well.

My car arrives sometime next week. At that point I'll be eager to put on those break-in miles, so I'll be up for meetups in fair weather. Anyone? |

Holy crap! 40+ hp with x-pipe and cat delete?! How much did that run you? I already have the OEM Mod. I was actually the first one to ask Andrew to do it.

Sid, I can't qoute the price, since he R&D'd the xpipe on my car, im sure the cost would be different if he went into production. As of right now this is a 1 off, but if enough people were interested im sure he could have them made.

35hp is a great gain! It sounds angry, maybe some time I'll get to hear it in person.

[QUOTE=Skooterbrah;13407581]Untuned! : Thats really impressive!! I think AR needs to kick it into production. Have you considered a tune? I am thinking of doing the Benvo tune and turner test pipes. On paper that should yield around 30hp.

What's your initial impression other than the smell? It should get a little louder and deeper after a few miles. Eisenmann does stink for a while, take a good road trip and it'll get nice and hot.
Enjoy! Bryan |
