Is anyone else having this problem? I took a original 2009.1 nav disk, made copies of it. When I put it in my M, it will work for a while and then it will go to the onboard info screen. Then I have to eject then put it back in. It will work for awhile then crap out again. I thought it might be the disk, but its not as I put in 5 others. Any ideas?

I downloaded the iso which took less than a day so I am guess a lot of users have it.
I burned the ISO into DVD-R and, loaded into my Nav DVD drive and started my car...I got an error that no cd/dvd is inserted or something of that nature. When I placed the DVD in my PC I noticed that the name is CD_65xx and my 2006.1 DVD shows name as "NAV_DB". I copied the files from DVD to my PC and burned a new DVD at 2x and changed DVD name to "NAV_DB". I placed the new DVD into Nav DVD drive and start my car, this time I got the map screen of my location, but I noticed that some menus are disabled such as Travel Information (my 2006 did not have the problem). Not sure if something was not right in the burn or the ISO is corrupt. I did notice that after I burned the ISO it had the following files/folder structure (my 2006 has only 1 folder and 1 file): CONFIG - folder DB -- folder DBAL - folder FILL -- folder TELEMAT --- folder TPD --- folder .DC_STORE CDROM.TOC FILES.CFG INFO_MAP.TXT Any help????? Thanks, B |

It is already available but I can't remember the link. I just did a search using 2010 as one of the search strings. It has 2 disk separated by regions. Region 1 disk is for the East side of US/Canada and region 2 is the rest.

merging disks
...anyone know if its feasible to "merge" Disk 1 & Disk 2 of the 2010.1 disks that are out there onto one dual layer dvd? Maybe merge the ISO's...?!?
i looked through the directory structure and unfortunately you wind up with database files that have the same name but different file sizes...so no way to just combine the files from both disks onto one. Any ideas anyone? Is the eastern vs western split 2 disk setup the way the 2010.1 update was released from the new gps map vendor this year? -bubu |

nav dvd
I have e46 m3 with mkiv installed v32 OS, i have downloaded 2010 north american high version and 2009 north america high version, I have tried to use win rar, win zip and 7 zip to unzip the files and burn with image burn or nero with 1x speed. On top of the i also have tried 4 different brands of dvd+r and dvd-r and none of them worked.
Can someone help me please...... Edit: Just burn another 2 dvds (2010 high) (2009 high) with imgburn 1x /tdk dvd+r.........................failed again...... Last edited by m3&clk55; 06-25-2010 at 02:21 AM.. |

Have you guys seen the 2011 navigation DVD Maps are also available with Speed Cams and Police Speed Traps. I paid $48 for each and I got two for both my e90 and M5.
I got them from http://www.bmwnavigationmaps.com |

No. You need the 'HIGH' version for your X5, as opposed to the 'Professional' version for the e90s.
Check your vehicle compatibility here: http://www.bmwnavigationmaps.com/veh...atibility.html |

This is awesome... don't know how I've managed to miss this thread for the past two years. I, too, have been frustrated that I cannot get a more current DVD for my 2008 nav system. Gonna give it a shot...
