Looks like there's a deal on do88 parts. 10% isn't bad at all.

If anyone wants to arrange a group buy for a bigger discount, I'm in.
I would definitely be in for a better price.

Redline ATF works great for the trans and is recommended by places like BW as an alternative to OEM equivalent options.

Diff wise stick with the recommended.

I've been using the Liqui Moly "LS 75W140" (LM20042) for years now without any issues or chatter. It's about half the price of Castrol and a quarter of the price of the GenuineBMW fluid.

I replace my diff fluid every other year, but for those that change it yearly, this fluid should save quite a bit of money.

There are plenty of fluids that carry OEM approvals. You do not have to run OEM fluid.

There is nothing inherently complicated about a 75w140 gear lube.

They said no extra deals at this point as they're running low on stock, but maybe in the autumn. So this 10% is a pretty good deal.

Raise rear (both sides). Remove the lower control arm to spindle and and lower control arm to strut bolts. Swap spring. Reattach lower control arm to each of the spindle and strut. Be careful when sliding the spindle bearing into the lower control arm not to get the bearing crooked or you'll have a hell of a time unjamming it. I think the spindle to control arm bolt had a 21 or 22mm head, but not sure. Just need regular socket and/or box wrenches

What do I need to do to not worry about the spring tension? I am afraid something will be exploding in my face?

If I lift the car on the Quickjack and all four wheels are drooping, Do I work with the spring under tension, or is it loose at that point?

I have 7" spring

On my E46, I am able to just remove the springs under full droop without disconnecting anything. I don't think it will explode or cause any issues. Just put a floor jack under the spindle.

You can hold the camber arm in place with a jack under the camber arm and lower slowly once you have the bolts out. Mine are 7 or 8 inch and are pretty much loose at full droop. Depending on the spring going back you may be able to just adjust the height on the perches all the way up so that you dont have to bother with the camber arm bolts.

No. The bushing is in the spindle. There are 2 bolts you will remove: 1 that connects the control arm to the spindle and a second that connects the rear shock to the control arm.

Perhaps I missed something but if just swapping springs why not just use a quality compressor so as not to risk messing with your alignment? I've swapped springs several times over the years. Not difficult, just be careful, because you could possibly kill yourself if the compressor isn't properly attached and safely released. You could either rent a heavy duty one or buy one to add to your collection of tools.
