Looks like you could stop the car with that edge.
It's just the angle/lighting. It's pretty streamlined under there. More so even than the oem flocked plastic
That's the Air dam for the oil cooler outlet helps keep temps down.

The car doesn't see rain or snow (Florida) so I'd like to think with the VRP protectant it would last a good little while.

That being said I'm sure my next track session will get things close to where they were.. Still a good feeling knocking almost 50k miles worth of crud out of there.

that's a really cheap price, even cheaper than some private listings i've seen for the e9x alarm (or maybe they're all the same and the guy was selling it as e9x)

Valve cover gasket + refurbished covers, new spark plugs, LM oil change... Big day.

If anyone is interested in buying my used ones that came off to do a refurbish, shoot me a PM.

I was searching for a used ultra-sonic module on ebay and this came up. Turns out the module for e82 and e9x are the same.

Here's the alarm retro fit for e9x

and here's the e82 kit. The same set just different part number

Oh, got it. I also saw that the link you posted was for E82 and saw you wrote retrofit so I thought there were some additional pieces you needed. Good to know that they're the same set!

https://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=150766

^ Would you happen to know if the kit used in this DIY is the same linked kit? If not, can you link the DIY you followed?

Discovered my AC isn't working. It was when I bought the car in Sept. I rarely use it but it was balls hot out.

Things I have done recently they may have caused it. Swapped my hvac controls to I think one from an X3 because it has heated seat buttons and I did seat swap. When the new AC button lit up on the new HVAC I assumed I was good but didn't really test it. I also messed around with fuses while looking at the incorrect diagram trying to figure out why the passenger seat heat doesn't work, but the driver seat heat does work. A 'service engine soon' light later I figured out I had the wrong fuse reference docs and put them back to where they were and cleared codes.

Also when clearing the codes I see I have one that won't go away for the fog sensor, which apparently only works if climate control is set to auto, which I never do. This was the only code that came back after clearing codes.

So I got an AC that doesn't work, don't know why. Button lights up. Should I just assume I have a leak and I need Freon? Paying 2-4k to have the evap replaced doesn't seem worth it at the moment if I can just refill with Freon if it last a long time.

Fog sensor doesn't work, never use it though. Probably just let this one ride unless someone has a good reason why I should fix it.

Passenger seat heating doesn't work. HVAC button doesn't light up. I tried 3 diff HVAC controls and two passenger seats so I think it's either fuses, coding, or both.

Also did a Letherique treatment on the seats. Leather is now softer. Could use an additional treatment, but I am too lazy right now.

Refill with Freon and see if it works. They can put a fluorescent dye in to check for leaks. I had a bad refill valve that leaked. Mechanic was able to repair/replace and I have been good for ~2 years.

Would recommend I just refill myself and see what happens or should I take to some place for testing and a refill?
