Not sure what the MSRP was, probably mid to high 60's with those options. Similar to what I would have ordered if buying new. I'd rather now have all the electronic gizmos to break in the future and weigh the car down.
Paid cash so no interest to tack on. Will probably be looking to extend the warranty before it expires in October 2014. BMW sent the title on Monday so I went to do the ttl today. Grand total was $50,879.50 Slightly over the cap of $50K that I intended to spend. When I started looking earlier this year I really wanted a 2011 with less than 20K miles but figured I'd have to settle on a 2009 or 2010 with low miles on that budget. Was looking in a 500 miles radius, which includes Houston, Dallas, Atlanta but found this deal locally and on this forum. |

Purchased 04/12 from dealer
2011 E93, 09/2010 production date 19,400 miles JB/Silver Novillo, DCT, Premium, Tech, PDC, EPS, premium wheels, heated seats...fully loaded $54,000 + ttl The only flaws I found were some rock chips and a refinished right front wheel (about a 2 inch long area that looked to be curb rash that was smoothed over). Also some scuff marks and swirls I will be able to remedy. Not a steal, but I'm happy! |

Purchased 2012 e92
3k miles interlagos blue black leather / carbon trim (no extended) competition premium cold rear shade premium sound BMW apps $59k Thoughts? Looks like an OK deal - car was spotless and practically new. But now i'm having second thoughts as a 2013 lease would've been much less per month, and I'm not sure I can match BMW's residual in 3 years of ~61% MSRP in the private market.

Gentlemen,
I have been looking at a few deals here and there and I found one that has me itching... 2008 M3 Coupe- 90K miles, warranty to 7/21/14 or 100K. Jerez Black/Fox Red Extended Leather, Carbon-Leather trim, carbon fiber roof, every available option , 19" wheels, new tires, DCT, Premium, Technology, & Cold weather packages, Navigation, premium audio, HD radio, PDC, rear shade, old school maintenance, hard wired for V1, garaged, non-smoker, excellent condition, He is the original owner. Clean carfax. Brakes and tires are 80% or higher. Never any paint or body work done. The car is in terrific condition. What would you pay...?

entertaining the idea of getting a 2013 m3, options etc don't matter too much to me. perhaps targeting an outgoing model at the end of the summer. anyone have thoughts on when the best time is and what is the best price you think i could get for a m3 that's just sitting on the lot?
Thanks! |

Anyone have any thoughts on best time of year to buy or level of inventory on the market? Part of my issue is that I'm not in a huge hurry to buy, being fairly particular regarding what I want, as well as being in an area of the country where there isn't a whole lot of M3's. I guess I could buy a 2011, but they seem to be significantly more expensive than the 2009-2010 for little actual difference. Last edited by dmppdx; 06-03-2013 at 06:28 PM.. |

I went to see an E90 M3 today and the dealer was asking for $54,000. It's a 2011 with 28,000 miles. Options are Premium, Tech, DCT, EDC, 19's, ipod, and Sunroof. Do you think that is a fair price?
Thanks in advance for the help. |

Yes, it really is crazy how much cars depreciate. That is why I insist on buying used. I don't think I would buy new even if I had $$ burning a hole in my pocket... unless it was a car that held value really well or I planned on keeping it forever, like a Ferrari or exotic. But to each his own.
