Hey Felix
I agree on the bum of the M5, tailpipe area looks unfinished, needs more smoothing. The M3 has a way nicer rear. Oh well. Anyone sat in a new 5 Series yet, it is huge inside. The center console is like a starship. It is waaaaay different than our 3 series. I was pretty shocked. To be honest its almost too big. You get lost in it. Wonder how connected you feel in the car.... On another note a BMW tech at Bavaria was saying he's heard rumors of the twin turbo V12 going into the M6. Can you fckin imagine that |

I just talked to Colin@Calgary BMW and Steve Dinan is coming there May 7th for a meet and greet.
Notably Colin said he's now sold 2 Dinan M3 stroker kits and the guys are overwhelmed with the change. Totally still a streetable car but when the need arises a wicked weapon. The stroker actually is a better daily driver with the added torque too. Alot of cash, stroker M3 or save for a TT M6.... |

Come on Glenn, don't start saying that the stroker will be better for daily driving...... I am trying to think of reasons not to get a stroker and you are not helping |

Jamie you're an IND guy.
I see a VT2 575 in your future. Ilia is just a phone call away... The stroker is prob a better winter car lol Seems logical to me. |

Brought the M3 out yesterday, was nice to having that "tingly" sensation when driving
Fired up no problem, fresh tank of gas, and a couple of redline runs after 30+ min of driving. I'm glad summer is just around the corner |

Nice feeling. Thinking of taking mine off fire/theft insurance and picking up the water scavenger fuel conditioner and pulling it out this weekend as well. I think we were all out driving them at this time last year.

How much are your yearly premiums? Im paying1360/year for the m3 with 500 deductable and limited glass through Meloche Monnex. Not sure if its a good rate as I don't have any comparable data. One thing I noticed yesterday is the M3 stock exhaust is 100x quieter than the z06 I test drove last week. Definitely needs an aftermarket piece. Let me know how your Eisenmann Race turns out. |

Who do you guys trust to mount and balance new rubber? Fastech on 97 street? Highway miles and some restraint coaxed over 20K out of the original PS2s.

Wheels+ on the south side at 97 St and 51 ave have done a great job. Same tools as the pro's at the stealership use and do a great job and are used to working with high end cars.
I have worked with Fastech but not happy with them since they damaged the socket of my wheels with their air socket gun. I'd take a pass there. Karmac would be great out in the west end too. |

Talked to Tod at Wheels Plus today and he suggested the Pilot Super Sports instead of PS2s. There's solid thread on the board regarding their advantages.
My car cleared the RIV inspection today (drinking to that now) and is officially imported. All that's left is the Out of Province Inspection in order to get it registered. Apparently front window tint is a no-no. |

Sooo...I was at the car show over the weekend and saw a couple of the matte wrapped cars at the garageworks booth...which got me curious. Does any one have any experience with the process or with what it costs?

i went to the show as well, spent 5 hours there !
i saw those matte cars, pretty sexy... i got a chance to sit in one of the Lambo's there, thanks to my fiancee's big smile, haha !!! i thought the show was really good this year, maybe because i didnt go last year... nothing really out of the ordinary, but it was good to see the 5.0 and all the other new cars in one place, i was surprised by the interior quality compared to the Stang i drove a few years ago... the interior quality of US brands did improve dramatically from 2 yrs ago ! i also really enjoyed the classic cars at the end of it,although we did miss the auction and only got to see the "left-overs" from the day... could have been worse, there were still a few old Vettes, Mustang, a AC Shelby Cobra Roadster (appraised at $ 86k...) and a few custom ones... overall, i think it was good, except that Audi / BMW / Merc had 75% of their cars locked up oh, and that Spyker was definitely sexy !!!
