California - STAR smog check

is there any reason to pick one place over another when it's a STAR smog check place?
they are test only so are they all the same? or some more lax than others? any difference in pricing?

They're not lax at all.. find a clean local place that does free retest in case you fail. Got to have stock tune and they will do a visual too. Need stock cats and stock air box. You can leave a k/n filter or similar on, they won't remove the air box lid. They will plug in for system ready check.

And I say clean place cuz some of them are dirty mo fo's climbing into your ride sweating and stanking

If you're in West LA, I just went to the place on Santa Monica and Bundy-ish (Nono's 76), went in the early AM (they get busy quickly), took about 30 minutes, didn't say anything about a Dinan intake, and cost $60 I think.

Mine was faded the same way, the badge itself looked great so I didn't want to replace/mess with it. I found someone on eBay that sold a UV coated replacement sticker that I had my wife replace using her much steadier hands. Been working out great for over a year now.

Don't get me started on these people - ample parking all around, yet they decide to park next to you, whats even worse is sometimes they park so close, they're actually in your spot. I got a really deep ding as a result of a jackass like that - past the primer and down to the metal. /rant

Yeah, always annoying. And if you take 2 spaces, then you're an asshole and people key your car.

I can only imagine that parking in the middle of nowhere like that is subconsciously a "park here" magnet to some people. Much like how flashing lights on the side of the road can actually cause people to crash right into the light source.

I had the same happen about a year ago. Careens right in driving like it's a go kart and parks three inches from my door. And that after I just got it back after it sitting at the dealer for a month and half after someone bent up my rear wheel pulling out in my own townhouse community. It's the toaster oven utility van group. They will never understand.

Happen to me, I had a huge dent. What I did was I took out my window breaker and did a small light tap on their glass window and "CRACK"

I got into my car and drove away.

Ive been looking at a cheap electric one for my foam cannon.
