What have you done with or to your M3 today?

Spent a few more hours chipping away at the supercharger removal. I think at this point the only thing left I need to do is remove the belt and loosen all the TB clamps and off it can come. As usual with me while everything is that far apart I'm looking to see what else I might want to do and clean up.

Once the SC is removed you'll have injectors, sc mounts, the FEAD mount on the thermostat, revert solenoid purge, and the breather to reconnect the front of the OEM plenum.

Really curious to hear if you miss it once back to NA.

Yes. I've never had a desire for a boosted M3. Lightening the car where possible while staying pretty simple NA is my goal. I ultimately want to try and get 250lbs out of the car and I think ~175 of that is pretty easy to do. I'm likely already around 100lbs lighter than stock today.

Yes, I know I'm not completely there but feeling close and at least can do the rest without laying under the car. I need to go back and reference the install guide again but I feel like I can finally see the finish line.

I doubt I'll really miss it. I intentionally have kept myself from driving it a lot and really feeling what the SC was all about so that I didn't get so used to it that I'd hate it when gone.

I'm 50/50 on the CAE but I'll be sure to let you know. From a mechanical/functional perspective it is absolutely perfect but I'm back and forth on whether I think the look is a bit extreme. If I make a change here it likely won't be that soon.

Awesome man! It's a fun install although easy to throw your back out lifting the SC plenum. Be careful

No sweat on the CAE, continue enjoying. It's definitely polarizing for daily use. I have Ron's auto solution short shifter at 20 percent reduction. It's great but using an extension knob to get extra height. CAE feels like the appropriate next step.

Been on a spending spree, decided to try out Adams ceramic coating for wheels, says will last minimum 6 years up to 9 years. Just got done applying it will test it out this spring in OHIO rain and keep track of the coating for the next 2 years then it’s a bonus everything after that.

Also topped her off with some oil.. was at the half way mark on the bar, was very careful about not adding to much. Added about a tad bit over 1/4 of a liter and she was up almost at the top with a tiny gap where it's suppose to be... these sensors are very finicky so I made sure to get 2-3 readings during My drive!

After the headlight work and over the last few days I gave it a deep cleaning, coating, and dressing. It's looking okay, and I figured this can't last long, so I made it over to Alameda for some photos.

Installed PFC Z54 and Z45 brake kits and flushed my SRF.

I weighed all of the stock components and the the PFC components on the same scale, and with worn rotors and half worn pads the stock system was 3-4lbs lighter.

created a custom front lip - sorta.

I am on my 4the lip for my DD. I have been very careful but there are some minimal entrances and road dips that cant be avoided. the 4the one I had cracked and so I decided to go back to the abs 3rd one and heck it so it would do that job. most of the cracking seemed to happen on the drivers side 2 feet in - a stress point. once there was a break-the lip looked better than a CF would have(learned my lesson after two CF lips) but still not great. So I took a dremel to it, removed the center section, sanded it smooth and plasti dipped it. this way, if there are new scrapes, I can sand and spray to make it look like new. So far its holding up.

Gave the new Turtlewax Ceramic Spray coating a shot today, figured what the hell it's a bargain. The reviews were surprisingly good. I've never purchased a turtle wax product, but damn this one is good. The gloss and slickness is phenomenal. Hydrophobic abilities and durability is also really good... anyone still buying the worst product ever, beedmaker, should switch.. that product is a total ripoff.
